Peters Guitar in Great Britain
I found this on youtube after reading the article in Guitar and Bass magazine

Thanks Doody so much for this amazing link regarding The Holy Grail Peter`s guitar!
This is so far the best guitar review i ever saw! Phil Harris, a great story teller, did a great justice to that guitar! Loved the opening cut and also "All Your Love". Thanks for the history lesson on a classic guitar that has been such an important part of music history. Here are some of great comments for this video: ".....so glad this guitar is back in england, that much closer to maybe peter having a go on her again.kind of reminds me of the legend of king arthur who was the only one who could wield excaliber.no disrespect to the late great gary moore, who wailed on this axe, but in peters hands it was other worldly......." "..... jpalberthoward9 1 month ago Man, you really hit a raw nerve when you bring that up! Don't you hate those dickheads? They start bidding wars at auctions, they drive the prices of all the coolest instruments so high that no musician can ever afford them again, and then lock them away in airtight vaults where they're not likely to be seen, heard, or played again in this lifetime! Yeah, OK, I know, free market, bottom line, blah, blah, blah, say anything against it and you're a communist, etc. It still burns my ass...." "... Pleeve Pleeviite 1 month ago Give this guitar back to Peter Green! No one else deserve to keep it and play except Peter Green. And screw the dirty dollar bills.." "... straight2helll 1 month ago Thank You to whomever owns this guitar today for allowing it to be shown and played you spent a lot of money on it and you have the right as owner to do whatever you want with it but I tip my hat to you for sharing it with all the Peter Green ,Gary Moore ,and Les Paul fans..." "... AmDsus2Fmaj7Am 1 month ago The owner must be Joe Bonamassa :) Only he would buy it and do this.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D |
Thanks Doodyhead. Good job that the guitar is with someone who values it! And as he said it's a very british guitar in spite of being american.
On one the comments from Youtube in Jims post: "Give this guitar back to Peter Green".... Maybe not a good idea. He might give it away:laugh: Ms Moose:angel: |

Joe has seven early Les Paul Bursts now (having purchased another '60 about a month or so back). Harris is the UK custodian of Peter's old guitar. As i understand it the guitar does have a new owner after Melvyn Franks sold it. Joe didn't ask who the owner was, he was just pleased to get a chance to play it. |
I met Peter Green
I met Peter Green on the 25th of September when fleetwood mac performed there second show in Londons o2 we where on the fourth row in block a3 pretty close to the stage when out of the back of the venue peter comes out from behind a black curtain with an usher i turned my dad and said i don't believe it its Peter Green he said no you are wrong i said no dad looked so my dad said go up to him so i went up to him asked for a pic he looked slightly baffled someone would recognize him especially someone who was only 21 lol his usher tried to move him on but he said no this girl wants a picture. Best night ever including Christine performing. Ill post my picture later on

Great picture Lorraine! Thank you very much for sharing this experience with us here on The Ledge. I think it was very observant of you (for someone your age) to recognize PG and sticking to it, even when your father didn't recognize him! I mean a lot of water has run under the bridge.
PG looks really fit and well. Great to know that he goes to concerts, and he seems ok. Thanks again:nod: Ms Moose |
Thank you for sharing this with us, Lorraine! :)
Here's the link to the performance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7nJ9O39Vcs Stevie had some really nice words to say to/about Peter. And she hugged him backstage, so I guess he had a chat with the rest of the band too. I remember Peter said about the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in the late late 90s, that he spoke with Stevie and that he liked her voice. So it seems the two are getting along well. :) |
I loved that dedication that was after i met him i was saying to my dad i met him and now shes dedicating to him Haha it feels so good i recommend to anyone if you get the chance to see em and you haven't seen them before you have to go i wasn't disappointed even my dad says they're unbelievable the chemistry between em is like it was when i first started watching them i actually blame my dad for my obsession he brought home the dance from his business trip to bracknell we where living in Czech republic at the time cause he worked there anyway he put it on and i wasn't really interested at first then johns bit in the again just caught my eye so i continued watching then i was hooked everything about it was amazing
