WOW. What a total, amazing, emotional surprise

He looks fabulous!

The emotion for the family, having him here with them to share in all these moments every day, must be incredible.

Thank you so much, Kristen for sharing this with everyone.:xoxo:

There is so much going on here.
  • SOL from Lindsey - he looks tanned and healthy as ever
  • The song choice - some have called it magnanimous (indeed, this song is Stevie AND Lindsey's contribution to world culture), but I can't help but read it in many ways -- about Stevie's betrayal, about Lindsey's hurt and also love, about the ties that will always bind them
  • Think about it: Lindsey and Stevie created things that people perform at graduations!!! -- THIS IS WHAT STEVIE JUST THREW OUT LIKE GARBAGE!
  • And Lindsey is able to perform them at said graduation with his children (something Stevie will never be able to do, something I will never be able to do)
  • Lindsey's daughter sounds beautiful here (I have missed hearing this song in a youthful register)
  • That high-five was like ... the kind of two-way generational pride and affirmation I usually only attribute to, like, athletes

What a beautiful moment. There's something very poetic about this... coming back from heart surgery... playing that song with his daughter singing... the same song written and sung by the person who ousted him from the band that made the song famous...

I want him to continue to make music and perform live but I will be perfectly fine if all we ever get from now on are pictures and short video clips of him enjoying life with his family, playing music and being happy.

michelej1 05-18-2019 09:56 PM

Incredible. You could probably count the dry eyes in the house on one hand.

I'm not surprised they did Landslide. Leelee was a big fan of Stevie. You can't just dislike her in one day. I was never her fan and I can only imagine what it must be like to be dissappointed by the person you admired your whole life. :(

And yet, they chose Landslide. And Lindsey agreed to play it.

It gets harder and harder to be Stevie these days.....

He's alive and enjoying every moment with his family. :woohoo::woohoo: He needs to stay healthy. We will hear from him when he's ready. This is big news!!!! :)

One would hope.

I might be projecting my own feelings onto LeeLee, but I think that it wasn’t remnant admiration for Stevie that caused her to sing that song. I think it was a case of pride, a show of “when they go low, we go high.” They have risen above the backstabbing.

Those people not only fired and hurt him they have tried to humiliate him. They can’t.

michelej1 05-18-2019 10:40 PM

Also, Bombay Sapphires do you remember how you remarked on how Stevie goes through the same phony Landslide looks and gestures with any guitarist now?

I watch this graduation video and think, “you need to find a Greyhound bus and take a ride BACK to Aspen, lady.”

Rick: You played it for her, you can play it for me!
Sam: Well, I don't think I can remember...
Rick: If she can stand it, I can! Play it!

He looks great. The high 5 between Lindsey and LeeLee was beautiful. The song speaks to changes in life, like kids graduating from HS and moving on to the next phase of their life. I love the notion of "we go high" something LB has done since this whole fiasco began. I hope the band saw this video today, and saw how fantastic Lindsey looks, how beautifully he played the song the Stevie wrote for HIM, how loved Lindsey is, how proud Lindsey is of his daughter, and how he's better off than the Rumours 4. I am hopeful we will hear more and see more of LB...but most importantly, I am so happy he's healthy.

michelej1 05-18-2019 10:48 PM

Waiting for the people to swoop in and say, “He looks healthy. Now maybe you can FINALLY get over it.” Nope. I will never get over it.

YES THIS--will never get over their behavior. They kicked him out and they ghosted him during a health crisis.

lovethemac1 05-18-2019 11:05 PM

That was so beautiful and touching. It felt like a brief glimpse into their family life, and an affirmation that he's OK. Thank goodness. It made me tear up, how he turned his head slightly to listen to Leelee, and how she high 5'd him, and how he hugged the choir leader at the end. He looks so good, so normal and thank God he was attending his daughter's graduation. So happy he was better so he could be part of it.

(ps. The fan in me would faint if that was my child's grad and Lindsey was playing guitar at it!!!! I would be so paralyzed with excitement, that I may drool or something very embarassing)

The high five is great and it reminds me of how he’s always been a little with them. There was an old moment on one of his videos I think, they were in the kitchen. I am not sure if Leelee was there. She might have been sitting on the kitchen counter, almost a toddler and Kristen was feeding her. I can’t remember, but wee Will was in front of the kitchen cupboards and Lindsey came at him with a goofy smile on his face, poking, grabbing, playful and happy. That’s what the high five made me think about. Rejuvenated.

Oh, I'm sure they all watched it, and I also hope they felt some form of shame for what they did to him. Well, not Stevie, but at least the rest of them. Stevie already said he was gonna be fine because he HAS to! Whatever that means in her own twisted and lonely world.

This doesn't change what they did. If anything her fans should be grateful he seems fine, because if anything worse would have happened to Lindsey because of what Stevie did, then they would certainly know what a bunch of angry fans can do.

I also hope Lindsey never get over it.

Well they can't use THAT now! You beat them to the punch!

mylittledemon 05-19-2019 03:08 AM

Thank heavens. He looks great, he can still play, and what a special song to be able to sing with his daughter and her classmates. He's back!

I hope Lindsey never goes back. F*ck them. Fleetwood Mac SUCKS now. The f*cking douchebag diva show.

I could not agree more. It scares me, worries me, and makes me sick to think of it. To treat someone like a piece of disposable furniture. In 2 years some sort of reunion show?
Even the new guys would get reminded they were never real members. Just a suit and guitar on stage to get through the next stage.

I vote NO

sleepless child 05-19-2019 07:58 AM

Loved this. I'm so glad we got to see this. I was wondering how Lindsey was doing.

michelej1 05-19-2019 12:34 PM

I admire LeeLee’s poise. What composure for one so young. She may have teared up. It looks like the first video stopped before that might have happened. She may have lost a few words. I can’t be sure. But lovely reserve. How proud he must be of those girls.

Although, if the oldest kid is laying on the floor smoking pot with his friends, that might turn out ok too!

annabellee 05-19-2019 04:01 PM

I am happy that Lindsey is back! However, what a way to hijack graduation for every other kid in the school. And to do it with Stevie's song is bizarre. I don't get these people.

seriously, you apparently do not, trying to find or make up a negative out of something completely amazing.

he was behaving extremely humbly, as just an accompanist to the choir in the school full of celebrity kids. if you ever saw any chorus or orchestra concert in any MS or HS, it would look just like this, and accompanist would actually take a bow at the end, he didn't even do that.

If you took the time to watch the vid closely you will see all the other girls around Leelee were smiling, so I don't know where you get the idea that they were not happy.

And yes, they're a bizarre group. Starting with Stevie kicking Lindsey out of the band without a valid reason. :wavey:

I didn't say anything negative. I said it was bizarre. As a teacher, I've watched many moving up/stepping up/graduation ceremonies focused on one or two students because of a parent who chose to make it about him or her and the child. It should be about all of the students. Don't pretend like it's something else and don't come at me for calling it out.
