She's doing that upper lip thing in this photo. It's something she used to do around that time.

Whether or not it was popular at the time, there's no question that the eye outline thing was not flattering.

This pic is 99.9% a RAL tour era candid snapped somewhere backstage in 1986. The belt, bloat, and make-up are dead giveaway's. Skeptics just need to refer to the "Live at Red Rocks" DVD/VHS as confirmation (not the redacted and re-shot studio '87 close-up footage) ;):nod::woohoo:

It is indeed RAL, it says in the news article where that picture is from that the shot was taken in 1986

Her nose and teeth are vintage here. Anyone know when she had the nose changed?

It looks done on the Other Side of the Mirror cover to me, so before that….

You can smell the blend of essential oils, ciggies, coffee, dube smoke, and cognac from just looking at the photo.

She looks like one of The Munsters.

Poor Stevie, not at her best. With all those heavy dark layers of clothing, the dark circle eye makeup and the fried hair, she looks like the bride of Frankenstein. To be fair though, if it was a color picture the raccoon eyes probably wouldn't be quite so prominent.

I'm pretty sure that the heavy makeup is party "Stage makeup". Look at her eyes on inside gatefold of FM:LIVE. Same thing. Just now she is all goofy and fat. She looks pretty much the same in the horrible video from Mick's wedding. Was that around the same time?

Can anyone authenticate with photo proof that this these are RAL-era stage clothes, or are they just her 'regular' clothes?

Sooooo funny and random! I found this photo Tuesday and posted it on my friend's facebook wall. Someone posted a photo of Meryl Streep as the witch in Into the Woods and said "who wore it better?" LOL

and that hair…. that's so not freshly washed and styled hair… that's slept-in-and-not-washed-for-at-least three-days hair for sure. :distress:

yeah that pretty much went away when she got her new teeth (veneers).

You can tell the new teeth (all nice and even) from the old teeth (two rather large front top teeth). The old ones also stuck out just a little bit.

How dare you accuse her of having slept in the 72 hours before that photo was taken!

I had a suspicion...I just watched the Big Love video and noticed that Christine is wearing the same outfit in the opening part of the video as well as the last shots done outside the mansion as she is here (black jacket, white shirt, and you can make out a white kerchief in her left pocket). Although Stevie's outfit is a little different, I think this may be on the set for that video.

I LOVE it! For this picture, I'm channeling Regan MacNeil from "The Exorcist". In addition, the picture is missing a Marlboro Light 100 in Stevie's hand.

According to someone on facebook who got that picture as "an extra gift" after having won an Ebay auction, it was taken by Molly Meldrum, so maybe people assume it's 1986 because he interviewed her then?

This is such an alarming, garish image of Stevie, like a character in a horror movie.

I love the dress and would love to see it in color.

This picture is featured in an Australian article - and in the caption of the photo it says the picture was taken Halloween 1986

Though Stevie often goes more in costume for Halloween… and no one else in the pic seems dressed for Halloween.. :shrug:
