very 80s, but good. I can mail it to you if you want?

I think Christine's songs lend themselves better for being covered (english!?!) than Stevie's & Lindsey's anyway.

Wigwam, hm? That's the name of a children's magazine here. Does that say something about the stage of development in Finnish Music then? :p:p

I liked "Freestyler". :o

Nothing will beat "No Limit", er, "No Lyrics" anyway. :xoxo:

Mari 06-12-2005 03:07 PM

I know, I know!
But at least we've something to compensate that for :o
I think most Dutch artists/bands suck when they try to write lyrics in English. Hm, apart from Bettie Serveert maybe, but Carol van Dijk has lived in Canada for quite a while.

GateandGarden 06-12-2005 03:11 PM

Sarah Brightman's "The Second Element II"

Here in Finland we have a theory that Finnish lyrics must always be extraordinarily good in order to be classic, and that in English lyrics always sound good even if they're full of cliches. But then that's why we're Finnish, doh.

Mari 06-12-2005 03:17 PM

you said it :p

anyway, I think that's the way dutch lyricwriters work too.. unfortunately I can't help noticing those clichés and horrible english. No, most of all I notice their fake accents. That's what bothers me the most. I mean, why does Anouk need to sound American? All of them adopt American accents, no one tries to sound british, somehow..

Mari 06-12-2005 03:19 PM

listening to something called "Dreams -White Label Remix" I just found on Winmx

face of glass 06-12-2005 03:41 PM

Some show on the History Channel. My dad's watching tv in the livingroom (which is down the hallway and I have the door to this room closed but I can still hear it loud and clear!) I think the man's going deaf in his old age.
