face of glass 02-21-2007 09:27 AM

Lindsey, get over to my local bar right away!

Ok, London will do also. ;) And if you don't want to lose money while touring in Europe, just take a single guitar with you. We can take care of your accommodation.

Peestie 02-21-2007 09:37 AM

It's got to be worth a little something coming over to Europe. Please? Even if it's one concert I'll be there! A small tour would be nice :)

WizNicks 02-21-2007 09:45 AM

COME ON LINDSEY!!!!!! One Canada date wont make your tour a World Tour! Only Europe can do that (maybe Australia too, BUT DAMMIT, THEY HAD STEVIE LAST YEAR! !!!!!!), SO COME ON OVER!

Madness Fades 02-21-2007 09:55 AM

I reckon he will fire in a few UK Dates. I know im very optimistic but just look at the amount of additional US shows he's doing. Hes Loving this tour, it must be going well for him. So if this is the case and if he decides to continue the tour on for another while then he will have to Play a few gigs on this side of the water. Because hes basically played everywhere in USA.

I bet Lindsey wants to try a few UK Gigs and he has all sorts of managers and advisors talking him out of it, just to suit themselves.

It would be no problem for lindsey to grab a guitar and do a few gigs ( pretty decent sized gigs infact) here. With a little promotion he would fill up the theatres and Halls up and down the country (Ireland)

But as i said, I think he might do a few UK dates. mabye round , june july time.

Anyway I'll be there with my model 1 and he'd better sign it.

This Is Not A Please Come To Canada Thread.
Pass No Remarks On What Theyre Saying.
A European Tour Would Kick The Ass Of A Canada Tour.

shackin'up 02-21-2007 10:42 AM

Dear Lindsey. Are you aware of the fact that a big deal of your biggest fans are Europeans? We communicate using the net together and we guarantee you the warmest welcome imaginable. It'll be worth the few extra bucks: the press over here ranked your new album very high on their yearlists, so take the chance to blow them away with your innovative liveshow. You can't imagine the critical acclaim Under the Skin reveived over here. Now please put your small band in a plane and do some london gigs...maybe amsterdam? We ARE craving for some lindsey-solo-energy over here!

Gerald.

danax6 02-21-2007 10:53 AM

Yeah, what they all said.

Peestie 02-21-2007 02:25 PM

Yes and Ireland is but a mere drop in the ocean compared to the size of Canada.
Lindsey is probably looking at the map of Ireland now and saying "well I could go, but the rest of the band might not fit in. It looks pretty small"

or something to that effect.

danax6 02-21-2007 03:33 PM

^^
The Netherlands is even smaller.

Mari 02-21-2007 03:50 PM

Seeing Lindsey would be a great excuse to visit Ireland again (if I needed one)
Seeing Lindsey would be a great excuse to visit any EUROPEAN * country (within my budget)

*can't stress that enough. Europe. Europe. Europe. Listen to what I'm saying, Lindsey, follow the eyes, follow the eyes, one two three... you're going to do a concert in Europe, Lindsey. When you wake up, you want to do a concert in Europe. Three two one...

nodmod 02-21-2007 04:17 PM

Please please please do a London show, even Ms Nicks threw in a few UK/European dates back in '89, the European/UK market is ripe for a few intimate gigs and Lindsey will go down a storm

Gypsy-Rhiannon 02-21-2007 07:03 PM

Did someone mention Lindsey and Europe?! Come on Lindsey... pretty please!

BTFLCHLD 02-21-2007 11:03 PM

I do hope Lindsey provides an opportunity for all of his fans to enjoy the UTS tour.

gypsysoul 02-23-2007 06:40 PM

I'll extend an invitation to London too. I think he could play some decent sized places if its promoted well.

There's press-attention enough. UTS is picked up great over here. In journalism ofcourse. Not the big audience.:D Promotion should not be a reason for not doing it. It'll get some attention, I'm sure. More than enough for a few shows.

trackaghost 02-23-2007 07:31 PM

shackin'up 02-26-2007 06:33 PM

So Peestie who's your favourite guitarist now Lindsey Buckingham or Tony Iommi.

It really depends on the day as for favourite guitarist. Tony's a big influence on my lead guitar playing, but I can slip into a "Lindsey mode" as well. Lindsey is one of my prime acoustic influences though. But as for favourite artist... That's probably goes to Lindsey since he's got the singing and production side, and I've been listening to Lindsey more recently. Both artists recent solo albums are 2 of my favourite albums ever though.
Overall I think Lindsey wins out by a small amount. Certainly, the songs I'm writing at the minute are much more Lindsey/Mac than they are Iommi/Sabbath.

Really I don't want to compare them since I love them both so much!

EDIT: Another reason Lindsey should tour Europe - I'd get to see both Lindsey and Tony Iommi (with Ronnia James Dio) in one year!! Oh, and Meat Loaf as well. To see all 3 of those guys in one year would be a dream come true.

You can also play a show in the Dortmund philharmony hall, small venue, where David Gilmour started his last tour (and Dortmund has an Easyjet airport!!!!!!!!!!!! and I live 10 minutes away and give a home to about a 100 of Ledgies))
