It's their birthdays today: January 8.

Elvis-Suspicious Minds |
Bowie- Space Oddity
The King- Suspicious Minds; Kentucky Rain |
David Bowie: Young Americans
Elvis: Always on My Mind Romy |
Only one song by David? Surely you jest. But okay, I'm a good sport:
Bowie: Life On Mars Elvis: Mystery Train |
indecisive
It's between "Moonage Daydream", "Panic In Detroit", and "The Man Who Sold The World" mmmmmmm...or...I'llsay...ohhh, "Rock n' Roll Suicide"
That was tough! I am not a huge Elvis fan, but I guess I would say his version of "Mystery Train" is one favorite. "Suspicious Minds" is pretty great also, in a totally different way. |
bowie-"space oddity"
elvis-"hound dog"~ |
David Bowie- Ziggy Stardust
Elvis- A Little Less Conversation |
im finding this impossible to choose...so i wont
i can tell you my favorite usage of suspicious minds in a film was the shower scene in richard gere's breathless  |
Bowie: hands down, its Magic Dance (You remind me of the Babe, [what babe?] The Babe with the Power [What Power?] the Power of Voodoo [Who do?] YOU DO! [Do what?] Remind me of the Babe)
Elvis: Jailhouse Rock. that pelvis. nuff said. |

I'm partial to "Underground" from that soundtrack. I saw Labyrinth in the theater and, as a kid of seven or eight, being shocked that he sang "It hurts like hell." PS: Your sig? Is giving me seizures, Mary! |
