Loved the show! It was my first time in T-Mobile arena; it's an exquisite facility, although I'm not sure I like the sound as well as other venues. For the most part I kept myself away from YouTube videos and such, so while I knew the setlist, all of the details were a surprise to me. For me, "Free Falling" alone was worth the price of admission, and if I didn't already have tickets to another show, I would have run out and bought some after hearing that. I've wanted Stevie to do that one live ever since hearing her studio version back in the '90s. Too bad it took a tragedy to make it happen.

The band seemed to be having a great time. No complaints about the new guys. I can't believe how much Mike Campbell sounds like Tom Petty. Neil seems like a genuine guy. I loved it when John introduced Mick....can't remember the last time I heard John speak LOL. I tolerated the drum solo better than I thought I would; has it been shortened a bit? I didn't feel it was a great night for Chris vocally. When people said her voice had deteriorated on OWTS, I really didn't hear it, and I didn't see BuckVie so I can't compare that, but regardless it's just an observation and didn't affect my enjoyment of the show. Can't wait for the next one.

The show is very, very good.

I totally agree with what you said about Free Falling. I was actually stunned at how good it was. I mean, it was powerful, Stevie really knocked it out of the park. Same thing with Christine... her voice is clearly not as strong as it was in 1997 but to still be able to see her perform today is nothing short of a miracle, and she really seems happy on stage, and that goes a long way, too.

Fleetwood Mac delights Vegas audience at T-Mobile Arena

After Fleetwood Mac opened its T-Mobile Arena concert on Friday with the reliable, rollicking “The Chain” — a 1977 track from best-selling album “Rumours” that was used in the soundtrack for last year’s superhero epic “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” — singer Stevie Nicks reminded an already worked-up packed house that this was show 25 in the band’s “An Evening with Fleetwood Mac” tour. Then she suggested we all get this party started as the band rolled into 1987 hit “Little Lies.”

There wasn’t much stage banter after that as Fleetwood Mac plowed through two solid hours of music, mostly its many instantly recognizable hits from the ’70s and ’80s with a few earlier jams sprinkled through. The songs that prominently featured Nicks and her distinct, cozy voice elicited the greatest response from the jubilant audience, and sometimes she didn’t need to sing a note; Her mystical moves dancing across the stage during “Gold Dust Woman” was a late-show favorite. Other than a few brief intros to those old blues-rock numbers like “Tell Me All The Things You Do” and “Oh Well,” the music rarely stopped.

With backing players, the tour assembles a group of 11 musicians onstage and personnel has been a hot topic these days as guitarist, singer and songwriter Lindsey Buckingham, essential to Fleetwood Mac’s hit-making heyday, was booted from the band earlier this year and has since sued his former mates. Of course, feuds and other drama have always been part of the Mac’s mystique, but only a die-hard Buckingham fan could find any flaw in the Vegas concert as the energy remained high and the performance was fully satisfying.

Along with Nicks, founding members Mick Fleetwood and John McVie forming that trademark driving rhythm section and singer and keys player Christine McVie, the current lineup gets a fresh boost from Neil Finn, the singer and songwriter best known for his work with Crowded House, and Mike Campbell, a fiery guitarist recognized as Tom Petty’s right-hand man in the Heartbreakers. Both seized every opportunity to shine in their new supportive roles. An encore tribute to Petty of “Free Fallin’” put Campbell in the spotlight, and a tender, acoustic one-two punch of Finn’s “Don’t Dream It’s Over” followed by Nicks singing “Landslide” was a brilliant combination of two of everyone’s all-time favorite songs.

By the time Nicks and Christine McVie closed the short encore with the deep cut “All Over Again” from 1995 album “Time,” the audience was happy and exhausted, and after a few more grateful words from Fleetwood, another epic rock concert was inscribed in T-Mobile Arena’s history. Just four nights earlier, Metallica set the attendance record for a concert at the Strip’s biggest venue, playing for 20,428 fans. That’s a lot of musical memories in one Vegas week.

Christine, are you afraid to play the intro? It's honestly not that hard.. and people are actually paying to see you play keyboards... ya know.. because you wanted to come back and peform with your errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr family.

I think different than all fan...if Lindsey wanted to sing "Hold Me" with the Mac tour he had so many past tours to try to perform with the Mac......now the Mac can perform anything they can, like or no unfortunaly they perform only what most of the fans want to hear ....always the same some unfortunaly....the Rumour line up have so many oppurtunity to a setlists so different than they used......

All this blah guitarwork by Mike peppered in strange places throughout songs like Everywhere is... nothing like the original. Maybe people like his kind of guitar style, but for me it's just yuck. Rick Vito didn't do this to Everywhere in 1987 if the DVD video is any indication (waits to be proven wrong by Steve Hopkins or anyone who actually attended a show back then). Sure it must be dull for him on stage with nothing to do, refusing to adopt an enthusiastic stage presence, and contributing zero (?) backing vocals, but why do his whiny guitar offerings have to be so high in the mix?
