i'm usually proud when the albums i buy aren't mega million sellers

however, would have been nice to break 100k....

Johnny Stew 11-09-2005 01:34 AM

'In The Meantime' had sold 19,944 copies by February of this year ('Something Big' had sold 3,000 copies).

I'm not sure what the current tally is.

Why do you come here, Curtis? To dog Chris? Because you almost always do.
I stay out of stevieland, because I feel it's rude to go to their personal forums, and dog them. So I don't.

Thanks. Now if we can get 20,000 peeps into one amphitheater to see her do a one-off live would be good. I miss CM.

Your sig dogs Stevie....so everytime you post...it's a slap in her face.

It's meant to be a wake up call, to her very egocentric self. To compare yourself with, one who is considered one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century, on public television, is ludicrous, and delusional, IMO. Trust me, the general, non Ledgie public, does NOT consider her one of the great songwriters of all time. If you only knew how many musicians would be laughing their collective asses OFF, at this premise. If you only knew.....:p

Gosh, I hope she gets to see your sig someday then, Homie.
She certainly does need to learn a bit of humility while she's visiting wounded veterans in hospitals and helping to raise money for various charities.

jbrownsjr 11-09-2005 03:15 AM

I love the chiffon heads coming here... Most of them that appreciate Chris' material have insightful stuff. And once again, who gives a **** if they like Stevie more? Bring it on, cos there's fun for the whole family. Where's my whip?

Blah, blah, blah, Brian. I find it quite odd how you ALWAYS feel the need to rebut any response I make to Curtis. Give it up. If it ain't happened for you by now, you're most likely wasting your time.

And I'll bet she's donating her outrageous ticket prices to charity...

I think the only reason that Curtis said what he said to begin with has more to do with who posted the topic and less to do with Chris...

But I'm with you buddy!

Songbirds unite! :D

If you're insinuating that I'm trying to get together with Curtis, you couldn't be further from the mark. I have a boyfriend, and Curtis and myself are friends. And while I do stick up for my friends when I feel they need me, Curtis definitely doesn't need any help from me when it comes to arguments with you.

Some of your comments are just too deliciously ridiculous for me to not reply to. :xoxo:

Then why do you always answer me, for him? I know nothing about your significant other situation, but you were hittin' on him pretty hard (no pun intended) for quite some time. I don't care, one way or the other, but only a fool couldn't notice.

Why are her tickets 4-5 times Tom Petty's, who has more hits/ drawing power?

Greed, and self absorption.

Curtis and I were having fun flirting for a while... that's not a secret. And I think I've only responded to you, what, twice, when the two of you were conversing. Not much of a pattern.

Who knows why her tickets are so expensive, and I really don't care. It's still exceedingly odd that you ignore the numerous good things Stevie does, so that you can dwell on one comment she made three years ago.

Sacred cow
n.
One who is immune from criticism, often unreasonably so.

What did I say that was inappropriate? Christine is Fleetwood Mac's "Sacred Cow", no? No one's allowed to say anything bad about her or to dare say they don't like one of her albums, or to admit that they prefer Lindsey or Stevie (especially if they prefer Stevie). It's ok to slag Stevie, but you better not say a word about Christine.

Stevie's fans get all the grief for that behavior, but some of Christine's fans sure aren't immune to it. Just ask anyone who's dared to post a critical opinion on this particular forum.

I like you, Homer, but you do express some pretty cock-eyed views; damning Stevie's fans for their actions, and then engaging in the very same defensive behavior regarding Christine.

We can't expect something of others that we're not ourselves prepared to give. Disrespect begets disrespect.
