Gypsy would have been a hit without Lindsey. Listen to the recording.

Kyle maybe if you took the chiffon out of your ears and eyes. I certainly have heard LOTS of people say how great Lindsey is. Stevie had a lot to do with their success as did Chris and Lindsey. ON what freaking planet do you not think that Lindsey was a MAJOR factor in their sound and success. I'm not even discussing with you anymore because you clearly have chiffon running through your brains.

Neither of them might not. They were always better together.

Here we go round in circles. Who knows? Point is, is that it was always about the FIVE of them. Not one over the other. They all added to what so many of us came to love as The Rumours Five! That's what this is all about here. Why there is so much passion here. Why so many of us are PISSED that it is going down this way!!!!!!!!!!!!

His ticket sales for his solo tours (tiny venues) speak volumes for the number of LB fans

vs

SN ticket sales for her solo tours (amphitheaters)

The survey says....Nicks Rocks.

Well, that's a scientific poll. I know plenty of people who think Stevie Nicks sucks, so what is that supposed to prove?

Just as many people have covered Lindsey's songs on Tusk as Stevie's. Look it up.

I actually think Stevie acknowledged as much too in one of her intros

I've noticed this with Stevie fans - commercial success seems to be the determining factor of how good something is. I'm not sure that perspective holds up over time. A lot of great musicians never achieved the commercial success they deserved, and a lot of bad music has achieved chart success.

Stevie bowed to the commercial whims of the 80s, made some terrible albums, and has been coasting by on her image/icon status for some time now.

Why couldn't Lindsey make more of his own 'great' songs hits?

I don't know, why can't Stevie make an album without a producer helping her, or write more songs on her own?

When was Stevie's last hit again? about 30 years ago?

Everyone has producers. Most hits have co-writers.
