Alternative Mirage

Hi there! I know there's some different versions of Book of Love, Eyes of the World and Can't go back, some instrumentals, and others are connected with Stevie's songs, CGB with Wild Heart, and EOTW with Enchanted. I only found broken links...
Thanks!

By the way, as far as instrumentals generally, I know somewhere further back in this thread (or possibly another one) there are instrumentals of some Tusk songs from the sessions tapes...

They're on page 4. I don't know if the links still work.

HighPassion 05-01-2012 08:45 PM

Could someone repost the Trod Nossell Studios sessions and also Live in Paris 1977? Most of the links are dead for those ones..

Preferrably the zipped versions :)

Also that Tusk tour rehearsal link is dead. Sorry, not trying to be a nuissance. I'm just trying to rebuild my FM collection. I have no idea where most of my stuff went :S

sweetdudejim 05-09-2012 11:17 PM

Hey there, would anybody being willing to make a download available for the Missing Links collection?

Also, is there anybody who has "Keep Me There", which apparently turned into "The Chain"? I'm not talking about "Butter Cookie (Keep Me There)". Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm new here, but I'm a big Mac fan and I plan on stickin' around.

sweetdudejim 05-16-2012 09:52 PM

Anybody? I really hope somebody can help me out!

http://www.mediafire.com/download/6x...Rehearsals.zip The only track missing from this is Christine singing Gypsy, but it might be buried in here somewhere.

applebucked 09-19-2013 11:59 AM

Ooh, thank you! Got the track of Christine singing Gypsy a long time ago.

What a gift

Wow it's such a gift that we even get to listen to these demo and outtakes. Thank you guys for sharing this with us. Hey does any one have any SARA Demos or outtakes they can share?

goldenground 10-15-2013 12:47 AM

There's only three outtakes of 'Sara' in here (I didn't include 'The cleaning lady' demo since it's commercially released) the rest are live versions. Hope this is what you were looking for!

Wow, I totally forgot about this thread! I still have hard copies of pretty much everything I posted here, so if any of my links don't work anymore, just let me know and I can try to help.

Does anyone happen to have a working link for the Passaic concert (supposedly that's where it was recorded, anyway...) from 1975, or any of the Japanese concerts from December 1977? I've been looking around the forum and haven't yet found still-working links. Many thanks!

This is a video of the Budokhan on December 5 1977 on YouTube. Maybe you can download the sound. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I haven't seen that concert in years! I'll do just that for the time being.

I also found a working link for the Passaic concert - or, really, Yale Bowl, New Haven, CT, 1975, according to chiliD (RIP).

You're welcome. I haven't seen it in years either but from what I can remember it was a great show.

That's quite a find. Care to share? Enjoy both shows :wavey:

It is a great show, indeed. It has one of my favourite versions of Gold Dust Woman with lots of shouting. The video you linked is actually brand new to me - I was only familiar with the version with overlaid video clips of people doing tai chi on a beach or whatever was going on. So thank you, again!

Linked below is the show that is commonly said to be from Passaic, 1975. This thread has the comment from chiliD where he believed that the recording commonly attributed to Passaic was actually recorded in New Haven on 20 October 1975 for the King Biscuit Flower Hour program.

If it helps anyone to identify which performance this is from (whether it be Passaic, New Haven, or Mars), at the end of Hypnotized, Stevie says, "You can belong to us anytime! Thank you, really! Good night! Have a good year!"

Confusing enough?

1. Station Man
2. Spare Me a Little
3. Rhiannon
4. Landslide
5. I'm So Afraid
6. World Turning
7. Don't Let Me Down Again
8. Hypnotized

The Catdancer 12-12-2022 01:50 PM

I remember the shouting in GDW and I thought she was pissed at someone (Lindsey perhaps ). Glad you enjoy it.

Thanks for the links to the Passaic or New Haven show. Off to download it.

I never have any idea what the woman is talking about so I stopped listening...

I thought it would be fun to look up newspaper articles documenting the first year of the new lineup, and I found these:

(Longer article)
San Angelo Standard-Times (San Angelo, Texas)
25 February 1976
"This week's King Biscuit via KIXY-FM will be Fleetwood Mac recorded live in Passaic, New Jersey..."

On 29 February 1976 it was broadcast on KSAN in Palo Alto; the local Peninsula Times Tribune also said that show was recorded in Passaic.

(Shorter article)
Richmond Times-Dispatch (Richmond, Virginia)
7 Mar 1976
"Fleetwood Mac In Air Concert
A Passaic, N.J., concert appearance by the rock group Fleetwood Mac will be featured on the King Biscuit Flower Hour, at 10 o'clock tonight on WRVQ-FM (94.5 mhz). The one-hour taped program is broadcast in four-track sound."

Go figure. Guess I'll rename my folder for the King Biscuit recording.

Thanks for sharing, everyone.

This performance of Gold Dust Woman that has some great shout-y chants starting just before the 6 minute mark. It's from the 5 December 1977 show at the Budokan Hall in Tokyo.
