Not bad sales at this time in history and considering the lack of real brand recognition - Buck McV means little to the great mass of people and if it had been branded FM I bet sales would be double. Interesting that Stevie's last effort is estimated to have hit 150,000 worldwide sales three years ago.

Just a brief update - 'Feel About You' is on BBC Radio 2's A List this week, which should hopefully give the album another boost.
Great that the BBC is still flying the flag for our chums! |
Maybe there is talk of a UK tour!

I can't go to the US again in less than 6 months! What excuse should I give? :woohoo: I guess US dates first and UK dates later. Or whatever Lindey wants! As long as the parties goes on. :blob1::blob2: |

I'm sure she said she was off to Italy after this tour.

Just found this short but sweet nice review in The Observer - I missed it first time round, so it might have been posted already. It came two days after a much sniffier one in its sister paper The Guardian. I reckon her's got it just right - 'strange and beautiful' sums it up well I think:
'Fleetwood Mac’s last masterpiece, Tango in the Night, relied heavily on Buckingham/McVie compositions, with the group’s third great songwriter, Stevie Nicks, generally absent. Now that McVie and Buckingham are back together in the touring Mac band for the first time since 1997, they’ve reunited in the studio for this succinct collection of gentle pop-rockers, familiar yet far more strange and beautiful than 2013’s brittle Fleetwood Mac EP. Buckingham’s spidery guitar shivers through Love Is Here to Stay and slays the solo on Carnival Begin, while McVie’s undimmed gift for melody illuminates every song.' https://www.theguardian.com/music/20...bserver-review |
The album moves down slightly to #57 for its 9th week on the chart overall.
Its UK chart run and sales is as follows: Week 1: #5 - 19,147 copies Week 2: #10 - 10,462 copies (29,609 copies) Week 3: #17 - 4,738 copies (34,347 copies) Week 4: #16 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 5,000 (>39,000 copies) Week 5: #24 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 3,500 (>42,500 copies) Week 6: #57 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 1,500 (>44,000 copies) Week 7: #55 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 2,000 (>46,000 copies) Week 8: #53 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 2,000 (>48,000 copies) Week 9: #57 - NOT AVAILABLE - approx 1,700 (>49,700 copies) |
The album moves up this week for its 10th week overall on the chart, up 8 places to #49. This is due to BBC Radio 2 having Feel About You on their A playlist.

The album remains pretty much the same again this week as it has done for the last five weeks dipping slightly to #51. Again, BBC Radio 2 has Feel About You on their A playlist which is helping to maintain sales.
