 "Hopefully people come to a rock and roll concert and we work out balls off..."

Violet 06-10-2004 12:13 PM

poor dj can't get a word in edgewise.
"My gut tells me we're in a really good place to continue for quite some time...and more studio music comes out of these people because it really needs to."

Violet 06-10-2004 12:14 PM

"Q. Are you still playing the vest drums?
A. I am still exploding, yes."

The vest is over 20 years old. "I have a lot of fun doing it, but twice it's happened I leapt off the drums and there's nothing there."

Violet 06-10-2004 12:16 PM

re: the vest drums..."I have a lot of fun and it's totally improvised......"blah, blah, blah
"people enjoy it."

-The tour is back on track, then he plugged the website/fan club
-No album is planned now, Stevie and Lindsey will do solo albums in the near future (before a new Mac album)
-Lindsey was approached to do the doc, Stevie wasn't keen on it but said she could get used to coming into the studio "combing her hair"
-Outtakes may come out eventually from the doc (probably none on the DVD then :( )
-He wants to reissue his book with new chapters and info; there are things in the original he wasn't happy with publishing and said part of the bad stuff was in there because he was drinking a lot when he wrote it. He said even the parts about his father aren't entirely factual.
-He plugged his Dali art prints, some of the profits go to the Endowment of the Arts (I wonder about the wine  )
-He's very depressed that the arts are being stamped out in public schools
-The Mac might play at Andre Agassi's benefit in Vegas, it all hinges on if Stevie's wants to.
-Oy, here's the wine. For ten years he didn't drink, his mother came over on Christmas, had a glass of wine with him, and now he's attached to red wine. His interest in wines became a quiet passions. Someone from one of his marketing companies came up with the wine idea; he's had fun designing the bottles and choosing the wines.
-He plugged some sort of radio that he's selling.
-He requested to hear Come from the Live In Boston CD, said they are very pleased with how the DVD and CD came out and that he thinks the fans will love it.
-He said they can't be accused of running the band like a "super organized business machine" and that nothing was ever forced into happening
-His drum vest is over twenty years old.
-He plugged his website again, then the band website again
-He thanked everyone listening for supporting the band for so long

Listen in because they are going to play the Boston CD!!!!

I almost fell asleep myself. Good lord. Sounded like a 30 minute commercial.

Cour 06-10-2004 12:23 PM

Thank you for the update, Livia.

I can't believe I posted this and then forgot about it. I tuned in just as he requested Come...which sounds great!

dissention 06-10-2004 12:24 PM

Holy ****! Come is blowing me away!!!!!!!!!!! He sings parts of it so high, I'm loving it.

wondergirl9847 06-10-2004 12:25 PM

Come!!

HOOOO YEAH!!!!!!!

I should request ISA from the Boston show...as it frickin' rocks!!

Mick is a snoozer to listen to, but Lindsey (as much as I love and adore him) would have been hard to listen to as well....poor baby, he is a stutterer.

DownOnRodeo 06-10-2004 12:28 PM

I hope they play EOTW!

Come was great - especially the vocals and the guitar disintegrating at the end. :P

But he's a cute stutterer :) and he's not always promoting himself. Yeah, I'll take more Lindsey interviews.

DownOnRodeo 06-10-2004 12:29 PM

Ugh, now these guys are sounding like Mick!! Give us more music, lol.
