So this is where Ken Caillat's mixes went. I remember when he posted about these mixes (White Album, Tusk) on Facebook. He said that Warner Bros. passed on the DVD-A format (because the format died in the US) so these were shelved. It's nice to have these on disc.

This will be on iTunes right?

I recall there being a recent Richard Dashut reference to a 'home studio'.
I wonder whether RD had any involvement in the new Tusk work.

So am I understanding this correctly, this will NOT be available in the US? I will be absolutely devastated if that's the case. 😏😔

Very excited about the Alternate Tusk tracks and the Live CD from the Tusk Tour.

Sanne2 10-26-2015 02:21 PM

So still no 16 min. demo of Sara?
I'm also hoping for a nice booklet with lots of unpublished photos.

Knowing Stevie's tendency to exaggerate, I doubt a 16 minute version ever existed, unless it was one of those "work tapes" filled with blather and stoned giggles.

SisterNightroad 10-26-2015 04:29 PM

When talking about music she rarely exaggerates, if she said that there's a version of 16 minutes with more verse then it exists.
Like when she talked about the original version of Silver Spring that was almost 7 minutes long and it was glorious, it's been released on the Rumours reissue and it was a glorious 6 minutes and 20 seconds that went straight on my favourites' playlist.
It's when she talks about past events that she recounts her very personal view...

A soundboard live version of "That's Enough For Me"? Yet another reason why I must have this!! :blob2:

Wow, it will be worth all of this to finally have sisters of the moon live on an official CD somewhere. And really that whole St. Louis show is incredible, even if some will say rightfully, later tusk shows were a bit more epic, St. Louis is probably best for mass ears.

And I'm really curious about what this "alternative" tusk. How alternative is it. They aren't demos and outakes or else they'd be labeled as such. I would hope and assume they wouldn't waste a disk where the songs are all essentially identical?

pattyfan 10-26-2015 06:01 PM

Three questions...

So will this be available in the US? I guess we can always order it here from the UK and pay through the nose shipping. :)

Was That's All for Everyone ever played live? And why was that put on here when they could have put on a live version of Think About Me (maybe from the Hollywood Bowl?)

Will the Dreams version have Stevie going for the high notes on "It's only right..." and "It's only me"? (I'm saying no way. :) )

Kevin

Why is there six I Know I'm Not Wrongs? Do we really need six of those? Wait, there's the regular album version and the alternate album version, so eight. Do we really need eight I Know I'm Not Wrongs? And seven Tusks? Really? Can we have more sessions and outtakes of other songs instead?

It was rehearsed in a very rough form, on one of the early Tusk tour rehearsals (where they also tried out Honey Hi & Brown Eyes), which is circulating on a bootleg in soundboard quality. But none of these songs ever made it to the Tusk tour setlist, afaik.
