I love Mystified. I think it's one of the most atmospheric songs Christine ever recorded.

Yes, she said Lindsey told her to tone it down, but if you listen to her, he's been saying that since the seventies and she never did it. |
1. "Honey Hi" is not only one of the finest moments on Tusk but one of the finest moments in the band's history.
2. Kiln House, Then Play On, and Fleetwood Mac (1975) constitute the peak of the band's recorded music. 3. Time is not a bad record. It isn't amazing but more than half of the record is quite listenable and well-executed. 4. "Oh Daddy" is as iconic, in its own way, as "Rhiannon." 5. "Silver Springs" was rightly kept off Rumours and "I Don't Wanna Know" was a more suitable fit in the context of the record. 6. The new songs on The Dance, as well as those songs that got updated treatments, are the best of the show. 7. "Imperial Hotel" is by far and away the best song on Rock a Little. |
Lindsey either needs to go back to the original speed of the song or the live in Boston speed which I really liked or just completely stop doing Never Going Back Again live. I hate this super super slowed down whisper thing he's doing with it, he's literally butchering his own classic.
Stevie has permanently damaged her voice so much sometimes it's hard to listen to certain performances. The endings of all the recent live Rhiannons make me cringe. A lot of Christine's songs are boring live. Little Lies in particular does not translate well outside the studio, except for the chorus. I think the reason a lot of Lindsey's longer solos borrow from each other is because although he is brilliant musically, he's not Clapton when it comes to soloing skills. |
