Yes, MissLadyLoki, you do! I was thinking about who I may have left out, and your name was first. I thought of 'Nicest Ledgie' but think that may not be good enough and will have to contemplate more.
This can't possibly be done right with a Dec, 25 deadline with results on New Year's Day, just sayin'. Meowi, esteemed Australian with the great idea, try not to be angry about my opinion, because it means nothing and you should do as you please :)

Bee is probably the nicest Ledgie, but I think i might be the craziest one here, and in more ways than one.

I wonder what these awards would have been like 5-6 years ago?

SuperFleetwood 12-18-2010 11:00 AM

Bee is awesome, with a brilliance all her own, but you are nicer. She's nice, for sure, but I've never read anything volatile from you, not once.

Wow thanks, but i do still think Bee deserves some sort of award.

Oh yeah, and I think Stevie fan should go to Louie (he's very tough on her and wants to see her at her full potential), and Lindsey fan should go to holidayroad (c'mon, the Photos thread)

BTW, would I ever be remotely considered for the Penguin Award?

Yes you do, don't gimme that. You should get that Peace Prize one. You keep the peace and are very welcoming, not to mention a great friend too

^ and ^^ and ^^^

Silver Springs was one of my award winners, and a prestigious award it was. Add about 2 bucks to it, and she can purchase a Sunday newspaper along with the honor.
She's the newcomer of the year, a true presence whom you can 'feel' as you read her.
And no, I don't mean 'feel' as in touch. I mean, she is complex and touching.
Now, make me stop gushing, MissLadyLoki!

OK I will

Anyways, would I be remotely eligible for the Penguin Award?

SuperFleetwood, your expressed appreciation of 'that' animated 'Has anyone else seen this?' video about 'that' rumour about SN could cost you votes amongst her most loyal fans. Your high-def videos are awesome, most definitely! Thank You.
No-one should care, but secretly (no longer a secret) I always think less of Ledgies who believe 'that' rumour, even those whom I otherwise like- I think it reveals more about them, than anything else. It's cynical and ugly and there has never been one shred of evidence, any more than the Rod Stewart or Richard Gere stories. I knew a creepy, uncredible guy who said he was in the emergency room at Cedar's when Gere was there, as if that would make the story true. A lie is a lie.
In my opinion, and I feel certain, also, the fact is that it just did not happen. Not the Stevie story, nor the Rod Stewart and Richard Gere stories.
It is mean-spirited folklore, and I feel that way for reasons beyond believing SN when she says that it didn't happen.
I was in LA in the 80's when that story began circulating, I knew it was bullsh*t then, and I know it, now. A girl drunk off her ass told me the story, she heard it at The Rainbow on Sunset, from an equally blitzed guy.
The myth is a hurtful thorn in SN's side, and that isn't funny, in my opinion.

Hi, I think its just a rumour. haha get it, rumour.
I don't think its really hurting her, I kind of see it as a little joke, kind of like South Park portrays her as a goat.

I make fun of the people I love so much its not even funny, but its all lighthearted, not meant in a mean spirted way you know?

jannieC 12-18-2010 12:16 PM

Maybe this thread should be merged with the Appreciation thread?

She has said how much the story bothers her, more than once.

Yeah, as opposed to the South Park Goat thing... I think she did say even she laughed about that
