I agree with all your choices except Red Rocks. That was a video edited nightmare and Stevie looked horribly stoned.

I disagree, but ONLY because I think folks who saw these...

know Fleetwood Mac!

SteveMacD 08-02-2009 08:20 PM

For that matter, I think anybody who saw THESE also knows Fleetwood Mac.

After that, it was kinda samey, IMO. There were a few highlights (Gold And Braid, The Chain cira 1982, some of the Tusk doc., etc)

Life's a bitch ... & then you get sucked into Fleetwood Mac again.

More like life's a bitch and then you realize that after Tusk, Fleetwood Mac really doesn't matter. There are good, even great/legendary songs, but the overall albums after Tusk fall woefully short.

I've seen all but the "WWD concert"...?? I have a DVD of random live stuff from solo Stevie in 1981 and 1983 but that's about it.

A belated response: I misspoke; I was referring to the Live at Red Rocks dvd, which in actuality, is a video when you consider the vocals were re-recorded and Stevie's close ups were all staged after the concert, in post-production. At times it's very sad and ridiculous and laughable.

These videos are fantastic. I never before have seen the ones of them performing Lay It All Down (aka Moses) or Dragonfly. A great rare glimpse into the Future Games/Bare Trees version of the band. Same goes for the performance of Miles Away, with the Mystery to Me band! I think the two Bobs - Welch and Western -- made a great team. Too bad that grouping didn't last long, because I think it was probably the best combination in the long line of band configurations.

Those old Christine videos are the best. She sounded good, surprisingly, since she could often be hit-or-miss during live performances.

She also looked friggin' hot. ;)
