Lindsey Buckingham-Under the Skin (recently bypassing Out of the Cradle)
Stevie Nicks-Bella Donna
Christine McVie-Christine McVie

I'm wonderin if the reason we all love tusk so much is because all the band members say its their favorite too haha

No we all just have great taste. I don't love it because they do, it's just the greatest thing i've ever had the pleasure of listening to in my life.

Poor Dave W & Bob W. Just can't get you to like them can we? One day I will carry out my threat to tie you to a chair and make you listen to Savoy Brown & Walking Underwater until you admit Dave W is fantastic!!!!

At least they rated a mention unlike poor Bob Brunning and Dave Mason

Fleetwood Mac - Tusk (Mirage & Say You Will coming in close 2nd and third)
Stevie Nicks - The Wild Heart (Bella Donna, TOSOTM & TISL coming in close 2, 3 & 4)
Lindsey - Gift Of Screws (Law And Order coming in close 2nd)
Christine - The legendary Christine perfect Album

Christine McVie: In The Meantime

aleuzzi 05-03-2009 09:43 AM

Since there have been many Fleetwood Macs, I'll pick my top four:
Then Play On
Kiln House
Fleetwood Mac (white album)
Tusk

Solo:
Lindsey: Out of the Cradle
Christine: In the Meantime
Stevie: The Wild Heart
Danny: Midnight in San Juan
Mick: The Visitor
Bob Welch: French Kiss
Peter: Into the Skies

My fave FM album is RUMOURS. Best songs, best ideas, best form, best vibe, best atmosphere of sybaritic California youth, blessed with pop talent.

The other FM albums have good moments here & there, sometimes related to an excellent song or a fine studio performance, vocal or instrumental.

The solo projects all leave me cold & baffled. A nonbeliever. "Bella Donna" is the worst, but the last three LB albums have also been relegated to the trashbin of my memory.

See I love rumours but I think that all those songs are over played and popular

FM: If I'm being honest with myself it's Rumours. David's sentiments echo my own. I love parts of Tusk but can't listen to it as a whole the way I still can with Rumours (despite the radio overplay) and the White Album.
Mick Fleetwood: Something Big (an overlooked album)
Christine McVie: Christine McVie
Stevie Nicks: The Wild Heart
Lindsey Buckingham: Out of the Cradle (one day I hope he will reincorporate Soul Drifter and Countdown into his solo set...I can dream!)

I don't have John's Gotta Band even though I spotted it at Montgomery Ward back in the day for $2.:o I've had the Buckingham Nicks mp3's for quite a long time, but finally got the actual LP. Love it even more on the turntable! Don't have anything solo from the other members.

starshine 05-03-2009 03:56 PM

Fmac: Tusk...I love it cause there is more songs on this LP (from each member)...plus its so different from Rumours/others Mirage (just wish we had a re-issue with this one with extras...the outtakes/UR songs are much better than the released version)
Stevie: The Wild Heart....awesome LP/BD next
Buck/Nicks lp....love it
Lindsey: Out Of The Cradle....I still think this is his best solo work....I still have to get GOS/and live yet...
the others I can't comment on at least not yet. Though I do have Bob Welch French Kiss on cd....
:D

jbrownsjr 05-03-2009 04:52 PM

Fleetwood Mac: Heroe Are Hard to Find
Lindsey Buckingham: Law and Order
Stevie Nicks: The Wild Heart
Christine McVie: In the Meantime
Christine Perfect: Christine Perfect
Bob Welch: French Kiss
Mick Fleetwood: I'm not Me (Zoo)
Chicken Shack: Forty Fingers Freshly Packed

Honorable Mention... Mirage, Go Insane, The Visitor, Ok Ken, Mystery to Me
