What is your guess concerning strings gauge and this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apH_K6VWCPg ...:)

/Zoork

now that I guessed wrong

http://www.fridhammar.com/xpetergre.html

it would appear that his lw string is 10, or a 9 for older guitars (my guess it is for easing tension on the neck.
so he prefers string gauges starting with 10. most guitar string packs this would end up a 49 to 50 on the other end
on a 009 it would end up a 46 0r so. but of course this is now. they made very few sets in 10, 9 or 8s back then. the answer he gave on this website is while he was still with the splinter group

I totally agree, one of the sweetest around and that goes for DK as well.

I recorded the sample - a 2000 Les Paul Std - mostly for fun after my latest pickup modification. The strings are 0.10 - 0.52 (all stainless steel). I really wish I could play a 0.11 - 0.56 set, but that would for shure force me to tune in Eb/D#.
But how knows, maybe I'll try that and use a capo.

Best regards
