Is that the release date or estimated date of arrival? With this purchase you also get the digital downloads, right? So even if the actual box arrives late, you can still listen to the music on the release date. :)

Take this quite literally, my last package arrived wet! As in soaking
wet.

I'm pretty sure I didn't order any water with my vinyl.

I heed your word of caution, but I'm pretty sure the album didn't come all the way from England wet. I mean, don't you think the moisture happened some place more local?

I think my vinyl went on a detour or perhaps
vacation around Europe.

To be serious, if I remember correctly the item
was in stock at Amazon U.K. and was sold by
them (not a third party). The record label was
Invada which is based in Bristol U.K. If all their
pressing plants are in the U.K. is another matter.

I remember tracking this shipment. Seems like
it made it's way from or through Germany. That
took a long time. And if geography tells me any-
thing it was headed the wrong way.

I was picturing it traveling on the back on an open
bed pickup truck. Picking up locals and hitchhikers
on it's way. And unfortunately run into some inclement
weather.

You know it's bad when the U.S. Postal Service wraps
your cardboard package in what is basically a clear trash
bag. With the accompanying white label recieved damaged.

Because of the delay I assumed the incident happened
before it reached the good ole USA. The cardboard box
was so wet I literally could have wrung it out and used it
to make a cup of coffee.

A very long story short, I buy a lot of music. And I would
safely say that more than half of my orders from Amazon
U.K. have been received damaged. Though not usually by
water. Amazon will make it right in the end, but they should
do it right the first time.

It's that bad.

(wow, what a long winded answer)

Don't albums and the like come sealed in a plastic wrapper these days?
I can't remember what Tusk came in but I'd guess it had a plastic covering that would have needed unwrapping...surely.

Maybe the out box was wet? That sounds horrible.

Didn't a few people once say that CD's manufactured in England would not play on American CD players?

I've been listening to the early version of "Hold Me." It's interesting to hear how different it was in the beginning. It makes me wonder if it still would have been a hit single had they left it in this more organic state. And maybe Lindsey's wasn't feeling the "hold me like a good man should" line.

It would not have been a hitsingle, in my view. And that good man sequence is aweful. I'm glad they skipped it. I like the rocking overall feel though.

Agreed. Christine and Lindsey left to their own devices sometimes is so cheesy when it comes to lyrics.

I feel he really cleaned up the chorus and the vocal he does with Christine is absolute excellence.

In February 1983, I woke up at 2 am to record the HBO concert on a tape recorder from the TV. I went to school the same morning and would listen to my cassette tape concert for years LMAO.

I am looking forward to the perfect sounds coming from the live CD. I am disappointed no new songs but this is still amazing.

Best version of Gypsy ever - so acoustic and almost country sounding. Stevie's voice and passion is amazing

Love in Store - what a gem live. To hear Stevie back up Chris is an angelic orchestra

Best version of Sisters of the Moon - the speaking in tongues - a true classic

Not that funny - to listen to a real piano at a real concert - too much for words

Go your own way - just one of the best live versions ever

The Chain - look out! Christine is on fire with singing back up. She is practically yelling.

Songbird - just so beautiful and the best - Thank you Los Angeles

Eyes of the World - Stevie's goat singing is actually such a plus on this song. Plus the rarity of Christine on tambourine - hey I got this too.

You Make Loving Fun - just one of the best versions ever. Stevie's little dance is so cute.

Blue Letter - such a classic live and some great harmonies that almost sound like they are struggling but it adds to the song.

Agree 100 percent. It's by far the part of this set that has me most excited. To have that specific mirage show on a clear perfect sounding CD has me way more excited then if they had did like the tusk set and selected a lot of new performances. That's the exact opposite of how I feel about the tusk and rumours tours, so they got it right with me for a change!

And I'm only very mildly upset that it's not the whole show. The band or whoever slelected the tracklist of the original HBO special did a great job picking the right songs. So we don't get Dreams, Landslide and Second Hand News. Who cares! I'm sort of glad all the songs I want to hear from that show will fit on one CD. Won't have to change discs mid run or car ride or whatever the case may be.

Sisters and The chain simply don't have better versions out there, although the latest live chain from the tusk tour is close.

Very close, if only Stevie's vocals were more up front it would be perfection!
