I don't think there's anything that bogs down Bella Donna or TISL. I even love "Love Changes" and "That Made Me Stronger", which seem to get a lot of flack.

TWH has "I Will Run To You", which is a bit of a nothing-y song. It's perfectly pleasant and I don't think it's terrible. I'm kind of indifferent too it. I love "Gate & Garden" too.

RAL has "The Nightmare", which is a nightmare. I've replaced it with "Mirror Mirror" on my playlist.

OSOTM has "I Still Miss Someone". I agree that this is unnecessary. I also can't stand "Fire Burning".

SA has "Jane" and "Unconditional Love". I've never liked either. "Unconditional Love" came on shuffle the other day and I almost had to rip my own ears off just have to something to throw at the speakers.

IYD has "Cheaper Than Free". This song irritates me, because I love the music and guitar work on it, but the lyrics are just such utter tripe.

24KG? Well, let's not even go there

I think 24KG (the song) is the finest thing she's recorded as a solo artist since Stand Back. That is how highly I regard it.

I just wish wish wish she'd kept the "Set me free, let me be" lyric. It's that little touch better.

I agree 24 KG (the song) is perfect in everyway.. my favorite on the album along with Mable Normand and ATBW.. my 3 go to songs whilst driving to and from work everyday  i think i need to give it a break before i completely overdose :D

Most unpopular Stevie opinions...

Well I guess I'd have to say that Barry was the best
thing that ever happened to her.

I only listen to half that album, but if that half was its own album then I might just agree with you. The stuff on TISL that is good is so good. And anyway it's definitely among my favorites of her records, nothing weird about that opinion at all.

I like the song but the video made me cringe. Goodness.

I don't know specifically how I'd rate it but it's a terrific song. I always loved the demo and I think she really did it justice (which I don't always feel about her old-demos-turned-new-tracks).

I think that BOTH Barry and Stevie would disagree :)

Same here. I always preferred it over SDMHA.

I like a lot of the drag downs mentioned, but for me

BD - The Highwayman
TWH - I don't really consider any song a drag down on this album. I listen to NEC and IAF the least tho.
RAL - The Nightmare
TOSOTM - Fire Burning. I could probably add more since this is the only Stevie solo album I rarely listen to.
SA - Destiny and Jane
TISL - Love Changes and I Miss You
IYD - Cheaper Than Free
24KG - I Don't Care and Cathouse Blues

You're probably right. It was definitely a contentious relationship.
It seems she likes the ones who throw things at her. Whether it's
guitars or banana peels.

Macfanforever,
"Who's Barry?" Think the Street Angel period, or perhaps the
infamous limo tapes. I could go on, but his story kind of tears
me up. And I don't like to cry in front of you all.
