Pop-Up Video...

Hey people. On Vh1 last night they were showing a commercial for their upcoming shows and they will be doing a Pop-Up Divas Special sometime in the future. It showed Stevie singing so she's included. Just thought some of you would like to know.

Hopefully they will have Stevie and it wasn't just a general clip of Divas.
I think the only pop-up I've seen for Stevie/Mac is Gypsy ...but I have an eagle eye so I had already noticed the cut off tops of the trees at the end, as if anyone would have thought that was a real forest anyways,duh! (Further proof of my eagle eye: did you ever notice in the TV show WonderWoman that when she was standing she wore high heels but if she was running her boots were flat?)
Anyone seen any other pop ups?

Yeah, I noticed the WW thing. I always figured she had retractable heels...

BTW, 'Standback' was on Pop-up once...

Stand Back would be a good pop -up. What were the highlights of that? Any memorable things or just the general poke-fun-at-Stevie-on-the-treadmill jokes? BTW-as soon as I read that the Flashdance director directed that video (which I just recently read) I thought-"Ok, now it all makes sense. That video is very Flashdancey. "

Stand Back WAS a pop up and it was funny.

It talked about how "witches" and Stevie have alot in common..

My FAVORITE line was when she goes " do do ...do do" and they said " witches were believed to scream obscenities "...that had me rolling.

But it was good, I only managed to see it once.

Ive also seen hold me but this was like 95 and i was probably like 8 at the time but I remember seeing chris walking off with the hourse at the end and the pop up said "all of the band members have leardned one skill....to survive" or something like that i dont know why i rembers that i guess it cought my attentioon for some reason back in third grade

oh god the stand back one was sooo funny.... the gypsy one was funny too... talking about gypsy moths invading or something... and then they said something about stevie "enhancing" the lives of several of her fleetwood mac coworkers or something like that with a little cartoon sperm in the corner and then they do a closeup of mick and one of lindsey.... oh and as i sit here second hand news just came on the radio.... they played i don't wanna know this morning... i know... off topic... but whatever...

If VH1 hasn't changed their schedule since last week, it's on tonight at 2 AM ET, I already set my VCR for it....

I like the pop-up in Gypsy where they mention the crew guy accidentally dumping an entire bucket of glitter on Stevie while she's twirling...

Well it looks like VH1 changed their schedule again...now it says "Driven" is on instead of Pop-up Divas. That's really annoying...I had my VCR set and everything:mad:

I don't think it's been on yet. VH1 does keep moving it around. Now the website is saying it is on December 24 at 6 a.m. But knowing them, it will probably change. And I really want to see it too...just interested to see what they say since they're usually pretty funny:)

I haven't seen ANY of the pop-up videos for Stevie, but since "Gypsy" is my all-time fave video, I *wish* I'd seen it (sigh)...but how the heck could they make fun of it?...that video was one of the true pieces of art in such a wasteland of forgettable stuff...doesn't make sense to me. But then I guess one can laugh about anything, even great art. I would still love to know how exactly they did that final scene in the "forest" with the backdrop of the mountains and Stevie standing on a ledge. It looks so fantasy-novel-like...very cool. I've also wondered if the bedroom shown in the video was really Stevie's at the time...I always thought so.

Anyway, does anyone have the Gypsy pop up on video? If so, could you list all the comments made during the song? I'm just really curious. Or does anyone remember what the name of the Pop Up episode was where Gypsy appeared, so I can look for it? Then again, I don't remember seeing Pop Up on VH1 much anymore...maybe it's just a memory.

Gypsy is also my favorite video and the pop up version is actually really good! I love the part where Stevie comes running out into the rain... and the part where it says they dumped the whole bucket of glitter on Stevie! It's great...

i love the gypsy pop up! i've also seen the pop-up for Hold Me, but only the end, and it was before i was a fan, so i was just like what the heck is this.....i love pop up video tho:D

I haven't seen any but "Hold Me." That was hilarious. They would show all these survival in the desert tips, like "Don't carry anything unneccesary" and then they would show Stevie tromping around with the painting, stuff like that. lol My favorite part was when they showed outtakes of Lindsey throwing his guitar at the shatter-glass, only it didn't shatter. He just throws up his hand like "I can't believe this!!!" looking really mad and a little embarrassed, methinks. lol

I adore Pop-Up Video. If anybody has the others on VHS, I'd love to do a trade. I've got quite a bit of stuff myself. Let me know! sodascouts@aol.com
