ok, I admit it, I downloaded this song but does anyone else hear at the end of the guitar loop a voice saying/singing
aaaah uh??...it sounds like to Stevie to me. I wonder which part of Edge of Seventeen they used for the guitar loop??
I know the guitar boyz over on the Lindsey/FM board wouldn't be caught dead listening to Destiny's Child much less any dance, trance music but it's starting to make me a little crazy...so if anybody knows, please help me out??

The guitar loop used for Bootylicious is slower than the one used for the opening of Edge Of 17 (which I assume is the part they've taken it from?) and is also a whole tone lower in pitch. Either it was re-played in the studio, or else they've just messed around with the speed and pitch of the original recording.
More to the point, those "ahh uh"'s you're hearing aren't Stevie...they're Beyonce. Those Michael Jackson-esque "hiccups" were added onto the remix version (and might feature on the "Survivor" album but I don't own it so I don't know), which I actually prefer to the original radio version.

Stevie didnt even know about Bootilicious when it was recorded....she didnt really know till someone told her...there was an interview when the interviewer mentioned it, and she was like "Oh really? I dont need to let my mom hear that one!"

thanks for the info, seteca, I knew Beyonce was doing most of the unintelligible sounds but it's kinda of cool how they were able to add it to the actual guitar loop as well...
also heads up to anyone who watches Lifetime, they did an Intimate Portrait of Destiny's Child and they show the opening of the Bootylicious video which captures all three shots of Stevie. It's plays in the last fifteen minutes of the show...unfortunately there's no actual verbal mention of our girl...
