Out of curiosity...WHEN.. did Stevie start wearing her little black dress? As in WHAT year? (she wasn't mourning Linds's departure from the Mac was she????..heheheee)

There's been about 15 different incarnations of it since the Dance Reunion. That's where I recall that she started back with strictly the black dresses.

Of, course she wore alot of black from 75 to 77.

Tuigirl, maybe it has more to do with Lindsey being there than it does him not being there. The black went away almost completely when they broke up. Now it's back. Go figure.

Yes, I have noticed there have been some slight modifications on basically the same dress. My favorite is the one she wore on Divas. It was fitted better on the top, had the more sheer dress part, and had a very tailored looking long jacket that went with it. More sophisticated and sleek looking.

My favorite on her has always been though the very fire engine red that she occasionally wears (Hold Me video-w/ the matching red boots--way sexy!!)

That was a nice one! I also like the one she wore on Leno last year...basic black dress, but with the peek-a-boo fabric at the bottom.

I wish she would wear that gorgeous white dress from the Sorcerer video!

BTW- I just wanted to add...

for some reason the title of this thread just cracks me up! It's like we all love Stevie and passionately defend her against the Stevie haters (foolish mortals!) but amongst ourselves occasionally we can discreetly raise one eyebrow and in our library voice say "umm, just between us, I have... A LITTLE BLACK DRESS QUESTION"
