I don't know if the seller is someone here or not, if you are, I'm sorry, but I just have to say something...I want to warn any potential buyers about these items.

Just because something was for sale at the Silver Springs Emporium doesn't mean that Stevie actually owned it, or wore it. I have been there myself and have also had lengthy discussions with the woman who used to run that place. No offense to Barbara Nicks, but a lot of the stuff in there was CRAP! And not EVERY item in the store was previously owned, or worn, or even as much as looked at, by Stevie. Most of the items that used to belong to Stevie have been autographed, and kept behind the counter. I believe that 95% of the things sold in that store were things that perhaps Barbara cleaned out of her own closet, picked up at garage sales or at other used clothing stores.

I feel much better getting that off my chest!! I think maybe I'll email that ebay seller directly, and plead with them to stop their false advertising....

several old adages apply here:

"buyer beware"
"if it looks to good to be true, it probably is"
"fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me"

personally, I would not buy anything believing it was previously owned by Stevie, unless the actual lady gave it to me personally and I would also have to eyewitness Stevie actually signing whatever it is...(like that's ever going to happen:laugh: )

the initial item descriptions are misleading but the details just states she bought the items at Silver Springs Emporium which was OWNED by Barbara Nicks so whoever it is, is kinda clever...

Livia girl, you are too funny!
I always imagined the Silver Springs Emporioum to be this pretty classy place, you know, a place with all kinds of velvet-trimmed, tasseled, brocade-covered thingies....

Not too long ago I was reading some posts where people were talking about the "catalog" for this place. Apparently it was a bunch of pages run off on a copying machine with bad pictures and no prices.

Sad, very sad.

My bubble is certainly burst! lol!!

Wynnco was a mail-order co. before they went online. They are horribly overpriced now - but "back in the day," before the internet and ebay, I bought a LOT of stuff from them - they have a lot of bootleg recordings and videos. I did buy a few things "sight unseen," and they were always good about refunding me anything I returned. But what does piss me off about them is that they do sell bogus autographed items and stuff that they claim so-and-so owned at one time. Bullocks!

That is so SAD that Bobbye Hall would sell personal items like the thank-you card from Lori, etc. Is she that hard up for money??? Just seems really tacky to me.

As for the Stevie owned items from the Silver Spring Emporium, I always imagined that Stevie gave her mom things to sell that she (Stevie) had received as gifts, but didn't really like. I bet Stevie gets tons of gifts from fans and people in the music industry that just aren't to her liking, so instead of throwing them away she lets her mom sell them to fans who want a Stevie-owned item...hopefully the money goes to charity, but who knows? I bought a couple of Stevie-owned pieces of costume jewelry from SSE when it was still open, they both came with a card signed by Stevie.
