I was watching "Revealed" with Jules Asner yesterday, and she was interviewing the Dixie Chicks.
Towards the end, they were asked about covering "Landslide" and Natalie said, now I'm paraphrasing from memory, but it was pretty close to, "I was listening to it in the car one day, and I could just hear us singing it, and I knew we could put our own mark on it. When I said I wanted to do it, I was pretty much told, 'Well, why do you want to do that song? It's already been done so well.' And I said 'Because I think it is pretty much the most beautiful song that has ever been written by anybody, and alot of our fans don't even know about people like Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac.' I think it is a very good thing to bring this music to whole new group of fans."
Jules then said, "Yeah, there's a real generation gap there."
(I don't think so, but I also don't think Jules knows much about SN/FM either!)
I think Stevie has made a big impression on the Dixie Chicks. Did anybody else see it?
