I love the piano demo! It has so many more lyrics & it's just really cool to hear this song like that. I would love to hear this live!

Same here! I just replied to this in the Rumours forum... so I'll just repeat what I said there...
I only first heard the piano demo a couple of months ago and it blew me away! Since SOTM is my favorite song ever... I can't say that I like piano demo better than the studio version, but it's way up there!!!! My favorite of Stevie's Demos!
Personally I like SOTM best live... especially this one version I have where Lindsey sings:
"Some call her sister of the moon
Some say illusions are her game
They like to wrap her in velvet
Does anyone, ooh, know her name?"
It just gives me shivers!

..the piano demo and Melbourne 1980 versions the most! That Mirage version with her talking in tongues is pretty KICKIN too!

My favorite version has to be the one from the Mirage tour.. she just goes crazy on that ending!

For me definitely the piano demo. She sounds simply amazing on that track...those high notes she hits are unbelievable!! I really think she excels on her piano playing here too.
But the Mirage video is a close second. She just goes all out on that version.
I am just in awe of how she can be so perfect at both extremes...the intensely emotional ballad and the high energy rocker:nod:

I like the piano version (demo), But I also like the studio outtake/rehearsal where the band is playing live in the studio and Stevie comes in too early with the lyrics " So we make our choices..."
The band is really rocking on this version and hearing Stevie make the lyric mistake while the the band keeps playing is just humorous to hear...Brian J.

I haven't heard so many versions...I have a demo version but the sound quality is bad...so, I think I'll have to say the live version from Mirage...it's awesome!

Most definitely the Mirage Video version!
It contains one of my all time favorite Stevie and Lindsey moments captured on tape!
The infamous I-can't-stand-it-another-second-I-gotta touch-her lean in from Lindsey!
It is the only time during that whole concert that he looks calm and contented. So telling!
I also love the way Lindsey is so over-stimulated by that point in the show that he is just quivering all over! He can't stay still, and it is very evident during his lines of that song. Their phermones are crashing together with such force you can practically hear it!
Anyone else feel this way?

...HAhahahhaa...Sulamith you make me laugh! I agree though it's a pretty neat moment in a totally insane concert. Just curious.. any other videos of them doing SOTM in concert?

Ahhhhhh!!!! Sharon, you know I agree with ya there! LOL! Kinda get that same vibe from the Landover show on the Dance tour, no? The end of "GYOW" ~~You've gotta love him. Over-stimulation? LOL. Yup.

Yeah, Ladies, now THAT'S what I call chemistry!
And the Landover show where he practically clotheslined her with that kiss!
She DIDN'T look happy about it!
Afterall, he had to know by then about his impending life change coming in a few months time!
Gotta love 'em!
