Any kind of info about it?...Set list?...Date?...I think I once heard GDW from this show...If I'm not mistaken Stevie says "Thanks they never let me play GDW that long"...Is that the right show???...Were anyother FM members involved???....

Well,Stevie at an evening with Bob Welch,and so were Christine and Mick...it was at a tiny club if i am not mistaken..that is pretty much all i know...

Ann Wilson of Heart was there. One funny thing I remember is when they were going to play a number at the end where Ann was singing, Christine said she couldn't even PLAY in A flat?. Stevie's rendition of GDW was one of the best versions I've seen of that song...she jams at the end with Mick, (Stevie)playing air drums. It was really neat and she looked "cool" too. Definitely worth it to pick it up.

What's cute is the first chorus.....she's supposed to be singing, but is back there a little too into banging away on her tambourine.......'til she realizes somebody else is singing her part and she runs up to the mic and kinda looks at the guy like "oops, was I supposed to be up here singing now!!!??" LMAO

Anyone know of any traders who have this show?..The Evening With Bob Welch I mean...That would be great to have.

I would like to have a copy of this show too. I don't remember ever having it on a boot. I do remember staying up late at night back in the late 70s to watch it. Sometimes the TV stations would show reruns of the concert. Well if anyone does have it to trade I do have quite a few Cds to trade. :)

Cal Jam II happened at the Ontario Motor Speedway in Ontario, California on March 18, 1978.

The "EVENING WITH BOB WELCH" was held at the Roxy Theatre on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood (I believe it was originally broadcast on HBO; and subsequently released on home video AND LaserDisc)...don't recall the exact date, but it was in 1981, done to promote his then new album, his first one for RCA. And, let's not forget that Bob Weston also made an appearance, too; so, pretty much there was a reunion of the "Mystery To Me" lineup.

This Cal Jam Ebony Eyes performance is a standout for me. It's very joyful and she looks like shes having an awful lot of fun doing that song. :wavey:
