I don't own Behind the Mask or Time, so I think we all know where my loyalty lies...BUT...I do plan on getting em..eventually. Lindsey is my fave member..dur...and I listen to the Rumours era the most, but I'm open to all the lineups now that I'm a HUGE fan. I have to admit tho..if Lindsey and Stevie leave FM again (and now that CM is gone :( ), I wouldn't go see any other line-up in concert. :distress:

Well, the only albums i own so far are from Rumours line-up.....but i really like the older FM line-ups. i just haven't got the money to go buying all the albums, lol. i do have a cassette of Behind the Mask, but i don't like it very much. i'm not really a fan of Rick or Billy....

I have to admit that I am a Rumours-era fan. I also have the Behind The Mask cd as well... so I guess my answer to this question is no. I wouldn't buy just any Fleetwood Mac album.. at least not without Stevie or Lindsey on them!

All the Mac albums I have are with Stevie songs on them. I just never really got into the pre-Buckingham-Nicks era. I do have Behind the Mask, I don't really care for it that much. However, I have to say that Tango is not a fave either.

I only own albums from the Buckingham/Nicks era...:( BTW.....Is "Behind The Mask" any good? Should I waste my money on it?

Thanks,
Alex

I also only own Rumours era albums, well except the Chain boxed set. I also have Behind the Mask, and I really like it. I think Christine's songs are awesome, and of course Stevie's are great, IMO anyway, and I don't really mind Rick and Billy (of course I'd rather have Lindsey...duh:))

I HAVE EM ALL.
Well not all, I don't have Future Games or Heroes Are Hard To Find, but past that!
The only ones I truly don't care for are Live at The Marquee (reeal old school) and Penguin.

I dunno...i think i'm just so use to the fab five that it just sounds weird otherwise. I have behind the mask, and it's alright, it's just not one that i listen to very often

Well, I have Behind the Mask...lol...but the only other albums I have are of the Rumours line-up. Except for this double lp I have of the pre-B/N era...I think it's called Vintage Fleetwood Mac...or something like that. My mom gave it to me, from her collection. And while I have listened to it on occasion, and do actually like several of the songs...I can't say that I'm in any hurry to rush out and buy the rest of the albums. Now, the line-up that we're about to hear on the new album...lol...I'm totally psyched about! I can't wait! Although I will miss Christine...but I was lucky enough to see the five of them on the Dance tour...so I'm not as depressed about it as I would have been otherwise!:D

Are you the type of fan that willbuy any album by FLEETWOOD MAC?...

I think my history speaks for itself...

...if not, then...

...DAMNED STRAIGHT I AM!!!! :) :) :) :)

From "Before The Beginning" (Peter B.'s Looners/John Mayall) to current day!

Not just "Fleetwood Mac", but all the spin-offs, too:

Their pre-band, post-band & concurrent solo albums

Guest appearances (FMac backing Otis Spann; Danny Kirwan backing ex-Savoy Brown front man Chris Youlden, etc)

"Family" members (Walter Egan, Todd Sharp, etc)

Bootlegs (preferably the concert ones, the raw demos bore me to tears for the most part, and the outtakes/alternate version are interesting for a couple of listens...unless they're REALLY something special, or THAT different from the final version, otherwise, not so much.)

Soundtracks (ONLY if the song on the soundtrack isn't already on their own album, that is)

But, I have a long way to go before I consider my collection "complete". And, hope that it never will be.

I buy everything with Mick and John on it!
Once I read this:
'The history of Fleetwood Mac is the history of pop music itself.'
Amen to that!

Well, most of my stuff is Rumours line-up. But as a Christine fan, I'm working towards getting all the pre-Rumours albums that feature her songs. I don't really like the post-Rumours line-up... I have Behind The Mask, but don't care for Rick and Billy at all... it was harsh enough not having Lindsey on the album, but putting two new guys in his place was just like, whoa, shell shock! And I don't even have Time yet... one day I'll buy it, but only for Christine's songs.

i am in the process of expanding my fleetwood mac horizons.
if you are a devout stevie and/or lindsey fan, you have to keep an open mind when listening to either pre or post rumours line up FM. you have to appreciate it for what it IS, instead of immediately disliking it for what it ISN'T.
give some of the less familiar FM music a chance, you won't be sorry.

I have all of the officially released Fleetwood Mac albums, including Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, Mr. Wonderful & Then Play On. The first two, I really don't care for but Then Play On is pretty good. But, I prefer the Rumours era lineup although I really enjoy the 5 Bob Welch era albums. The Billy and Rick era is OK, but I missed Lindsey. I am especially a fan of Christine, so anything with her on it, I'm usually satisfied. I will certainly buy the new album next year, but I really have very little interest in seeing Fleetwood Mac without Christine live.

You betcha!! Pretty much anyway.

The Rumours era lineup is definitely my favorite though, hands-down!!!

And yes, I think the Behind The Mask album is very worth it!! Just listened to it twice at work today in fact!!!
And for the strictly Rumours line-up fans--you even get a little bit of Lindsey!!!!
It's a devil's disguise, angel in black, and I recognize the shadows from your past.

Only Rumours Era (it's the whole B.N. Bias);)...Not before "75" and not after "87"....period. Granted SOME songs from the Blues Era are good ...Specifically Peter Green's stuff...acouple of Chris's, but other then that I was never really interested:shrug:

I won't buy anything just because it has "Fleetwood Mac" written on it.

I'm a Rumours-era fan first and foremost. I do have Behind the Mask and love it dearly. I would have liked to see Billy AND Rick make another FM album. They were excellent replacements for Lindsey.

For me, Lindsey and/or Stevie have to be present for me to buy the album.
