Anybody else have trouble loading these boards with Internet Explorer 6.x?
It's an extremely slow load for me (I'm on cable broadband) with that browser, & the page flips up & down uncontrollably while it loads.

I have IE5.5 w/DSL and it loads okay but it's slow getting around.

:wavey: Hi David!
The Netscape 6. X kept my hands tied for
six months! J & Jensen suggested I try Micro
Internet Explorer now it loads great! I do not
like the "stuff" down the left colum! The page
loads long and skinny! But Iam so glad to be
able to reply to threads again!;)Yes! Luv, Sky:)

David--
It is good to see you here. I'm going to be getting cable modem access in a few weeks and I'll try IE6.0 and see how it works for me then. Are you using a Mac or a PC?
I've found Netscape 6.0 is VERY large and sluggish. It crashes a lot too so I barely use it. Netscape 4.7x was quite good and I think was the last quick and stable release. I wouldn't recommend NS 6.0 for this or any other website really.

Here's how addicted I am... I downloaded the latest version of IE for my O.S., and I had the same trouble David described.
So I uninstalled it, and re-installed the older version, so as not to have any problems viewing the Ledge.

I have the same problem as David. Acually, I don't find IE6 slow, but the page flips up down before finishing loading. I've just learned to deal with it. I had been usuing IE5, but it had worse problems. It would freeze the page for 30 seconds after loading.

Yes, that's what it does! You just sit there, twiddling your thumbs until the flipping stops so that you can finally read what people have to say.
The problem must have something to do with scripting & an incompatibility with IE 6.
P.S. Congrats on your impending cable connectivity, Marty. You are going to love it. It's like having the T1 at home as well as at work.

Hey,
I've been using IE 6 for 2 weeks now and have the same thing David described, but it only happens when I view the pages off line. It doesn't bother me that much. I do have the feeling that it's slower then version 5.
Bye,LOL,
