hey! this is for my English paper....i know it's a very frequently asked question, but bear with me,lol!

Do you want Christine McVie to be involved in the upcoming Fleetwood Mac album??

(if you wanna add why/why not, feel free, lol)

thanks a lot!! :wavey:

Of course, I would like Christine to be on this new album, even if it's only in some very minor way. In my mind, without her this is really only Buckingham/Nicks with a great rhythm section, not true Fleetwood Mac.

Hmm... I would have liked to have seen Chrissie on the album, but I'm resigned to the fact that she won't be. Which is fine... I guess. Chris would rather do her own thing now, and she's given us enough of her time in the past to deserve it. Not that I mind "Buckingham/Nicks with a great rhythm section", as macfan 57 so kindly put it. :) And this is how the band has always been... constantly changing. To say that's it's not true Fleetwood Mac without Chrissie is untrue because she was not there right in the beginning (as my mother reminded me the other day)... but we'll still miss her.

Laura.

LOL...crazy, that is exactly what I tell people when I tell them Chris isn't going to be on the album :)

I completely agree.

Christine brings a dynamic to the band that is very powerful, though they'll still rock, I'm sure, she will be missed.

As much as I love Christine and the way the Mac sounded with her in it... I am actually looking forward to it just being the four of them. I really am anxious to hear the new sound! Christine will be greatly missed, but I don't really want her involved in the new CD... just my opinion.

As curious as I am about hearing how would the band sound without Christine's songs, her music brought FM a very characteristic sound, and a ballance to all the poetic, enigmatic and elliptical sounds that Stevie brings and the rocking experimentation that Lindsey does. The 'sweet' side, the 'pop' side of Fleetwood Mac will not be present... and that is surely going to be missed.

And a detail... most of the 'greatest hits' (at least here in South America) of Fleetwood Mac, are Christine songs. The only Stevie song we get in the radio is "Sara" (maybe "Dreams"), and Lindsey gets played with "Big Love"... all the rest is pure Christine. Let's just hope her absence does not affect the commercial aspect of the new album, which as 'cold hearted' as it may seem, it is still an important aspect to consider...

Anyway... good to hear Lindsey and Stevie with "the great rhythm section" (well expressed, macfan57), but still... I would like to hear Chris too. :(
