is excellent! While The Ledge was down, I got a chance to check out other areas. It's so very well put together, & there's so much info there. This is the very best Fleetwood Mac web site. My hats off to you, Marty! Now, what is it going to take to make this site the official Fleetwood Mac web site? I'll sign a petition, if necessary, whatever it takes!

I certainly agree with you that this is the best Mac site available anywhere! However, (and I don't know much about it (and please do correct me anybody if I'm wrong about this) as I think it happened long before I got to this site but...) I think Marty attempted to make The Penguin the official site but in the end, it didn't work out so I don't think much can be done on that matter anymore now, especially since Mick has pretty much (apparently) decided to press on with fleetwoodmac.com (even though when I/we try to go to that site, it deflects me/us (coveniently) to mickfleetwood.com)! I'm assuming this is a temporary measure on his/their part until the new Mac album is released when we will then be allowed to enter fleetwoodmac.com I presume even though it will (no doubt) be VERY inferior to The Penguin!

In 1998 we worked long and hard putting a very comprehensive proposal together to make The Penguin the official site, including hundreds of questionnaires showing how much money fans spent on Fleetwood Mac concerts, albums, etc. as a result of The Penguin. We couldn't get to first base with Mick's management who told us they were working with another website designer. Five years later . . .they still don't have it together! Mick will never put together a site as comprehensive as this one.

In hindsight, it's my personal opinion that we're probably better off because Marty might have had to give up control of many great features of The Penguin that we can enjoy as a fan based site.

I suspect that Mick would want us to sell stuff - like they do on the NicksFix. I'd hate to see The Penguin become that commercialized.

Marty continues to refine, improve, add to and create The Penguin keeping it current and relevant, and, in my opinion The Ledge is one of the best message boards around!
