I'm excited about seeing Stevie, Sheryl and Natalie on the Tonight Show together. And I'm thinking - what an exciting thing for music to be having these great women rockers working together, sharing their talents, bonding, rocking hard and really having a great time doing what they do together. By doing so - creating something completely fresh and unique. It's a beautiful thing!
I just think it would be so great to take it further. I always thought The Traveling Wilburys was such a brilliant concept. Let's have our girls team up and really put out some new and exciting material. They could add Sarah, Joni - the possibilities are endless.

One of my favorite albums of all time is Joni Mitchell's 'Blue' and I'm glad to see that many of you would like to see her included as one of the 'traveling ladies."
I went to the theater yesterday to see the remastered movie about the Band's last performance - 'The Last Waltz." Joni Mitchell does an incredible version of 'Coyote' and back ups Neil Young beautifully on "Helpless." Joni Mitchell ranks right up there with Stevie in my book as one of the legends in rock and roll.
btw, the Band refers to their work/play room as "Shangri-La."

Well I like the way....
Stevie & Sheryl sound together (Sorcerer).:cool:
Stevie & Natalie sound together (TFFT).:D
Stevie and Sarah sound together (Love Is).:nod:
Sheryl and Sarah sound together (The Difficult Kind).:)
So I would say definitely Stevie, Sheryl, Sarah and Natalie.
And guess I would have to throw in Joni as number 5, because you just can't go freakin wrong with Joni.
*Although I love the Bonnie Raitt idea too!:thumbsup:

My Travelling Girlburys.....
1) Stevie Nicks {= Tom Petty}
2) Ann and Nancy Wilson (I'm counting them as one :laugh: ) {= George Harrison}
3) Joni Mitchell {= Bob Dylan}
4) Karen Peris from the Innocence Mission {= Roy Orbison}
5) Maria McKee {= Jeff Lynne}
Now I KNOW...... k.d. lang would be a better choice for the Roy Orbison slot (the voice) and Sheryl Crow would be a better choice for the Jeff Lynne slot (producer/multi-instrumentalist), but Karen and Maria are WAY betters songwriters and both would complement Stevie/Joni very well.

How about adding Linda Ronstadt to the mix. That would be interesting too.

I never thought of Christine. That could be interesting. But I think we have more of a country/folk/rock thing going here with the other girls.
Let me think.........
Natalie Merchant?
(great voice/great writer)
Hey?!?!?
Carol King!!!!!!
Cuz we need at least 2 veterans.

I'd say...
Stevie, Sheryl, Ann Wilson, Bonnie Raitt and Emmylou Harris.
This would be a great Divas Live!!

"Those memories...of you still haunt me..." I just love Trio!!:D :D :D

Why 5 anyway? we could have ALOT!!!
Stevie of course, low and earthy voice.
Bonnie to play her guitar and add a blues edge
Sheryl because she harmonizes like a gem and can play anything.
Emmylou because she can add the high beautful voice.
Linda because she can sing anything, any key!!!
Jewel, because live and without terrible producers, shes really good and we need the young girl and shes got the voice, and can play guitar.
That would be my choice, all country girls who could kick ass!

After seeing Leno last night, I think we all have to agree with Stevie, Sheryl and Natalie as a given. Not to mention how cute they looked together. Sheryl and Natalie all in their earth tones and casual, and Stevie still in black and all glamed out:p
They'd make a great Trios album!

I agree! Their voices just sound awesome together!! :nod:

Emmylou can sing with anybody!
Natalie sounds great with Stevie. Sheryl sounds good with Stevie too with the right song!
Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton are others who can sing with anybody.
Sarah Mc & Paula Cole too!
Karen Peris of the nnnocence Mission would be interesting, as would Natlaie Merchant.
I think it is the song which is more imprtant though! and the producer.
Somebody who can really harness the voices into a wonderful performance
