Listening to some of the most amazing quality demos and outtakes (which i have had for many many years) just listening to them now and thinking why have they not already been released - or why is Stevie not getting someody to put together some great collection

Julia is Fucking amazing!!

Listening to the most amazing quality versions of After the glitter fades & The highwayman (Diff versions)

Is it so hard or costly to release these?????

I dream of the day a repackaged Bella Donna is officially released

but would also love Wild heart
Rock a little

Come on Stevie - get somebody to work on these projects - after all many other artists (less well off im sure!!!!!) have released similar packages!

I totally agree with you....but I seriously doubt Stevie herself would ever 'offically' release this stuff.....its sad and I agree with you....it could be done so nicely as well....a missed opportunity if you ask me.......I'd also release them all with dvds and all those rare great photos outtakes too......its a shame all of this just sits in vaults collecting dust.....its a crime in & of itself.....but I guess its not 'our' call really......but speaking as a fan it still is a shame. Someone will make $$ one day off of it.....really that day is now....really who's gonna care 30 to 50 yrs from now??? All of us that want it are here right now.....thats IMO anyway......same for FMac and I guess you could lump any other bands or artists out there that have music not released......oh well there loss and I guess ours as fans too......

Many older artists are now re-releasing their catalogs (REM, U2 and Elvis Costello come to mind). They are two disc sets, remastered, with unreleased songs, outtakes, alternates, and sometimes entire live concerts from the era, as well as extensive liner notes.

Stevie's albums are overdue for remastering. You would think that since she is in such an inert period, i.e not producing anything new, this would be a great time to do this. It may happen, but not likely (and sadly) with any of the quality, effort and dynamics of the above mentioned artists. If so, I hope all 6 studio albums are represented.

That would likely be her brother or his daughter...when Stevie is dead.

I'd like that too but I think there's more chance of Stevie and Lindsey never having a cross word again than Rock A Little, Other Side Of The Mirror and Street Angel getting remasters! I think only Bella Donna and Wild Heart would get the treatment, and even then it's doubtful. It's a real shame!

This is especially true of Bella Donna. We should start some kind of campaign for a remastered Bella Donna and present it to her management (who may well not take a blind bit of notice because as much as she loves her fans Stevie would have to ok this and I very much doubt she'd listen to us and do it !)

Of course it would come down to the fact that such a project may or may not make money, whcih again seems at odds with how much she loves her fans. I doubt it would just get done because of fan pressure. After all, we had that poll on here recently, although this messageboard is perhaps not representative of the entire marketplace!

Let's try though!! 2011 is the 30th anniversary after all. That gives 2 years to get everything together which even at Mac's/Stevie's noted pace is surely manageable?

Who's up for it? Now, how the Hell do we start something like that?!

As you point out above, we already have all the outtakes & demos we could possibly want. We fans took measures into our own hands. We didn't sit around for decades waiting for scraps from record companies. We stole stuff for ourselves!

We didn't sit around for decades waiting for scraps from record companies. We stole stuff for ourselves! :laugh:I don't think we really 'stole' them ....did someone actually purchase them?? from Modern records when it disbanded?? So really Stevie could've had these herself. Or does it not really matter....even if she doesn't 'own' the Masters herself....I'm guessing she could tie someone up 'in court' for a very long time so that couldn't be 'offically' released??? Just wondering----any thoughts on this?? Its really a crime totally. Offical release's would be nice with nice booklets etc. It probably wouldn't measure up to what I would love.....delusions of grander really......It would be nice to have offical copies & demos /extended versions etc....the list is really endless......If I was an artist I'd want my work represented in the 'best' possible light & done up beautifully. If its all for getting $$ than sadly to me its for all the wrong reasons....but it is what it is. Sometimes....please don't take this the wrong way.....I don't really think artists think of us as 'fans' much.....just the buying public now adays.....I don't think they really care what we think or want. And if that is the case....than really well you get what you get......caring goes along way.....if an artists seems to show in there 'actions' what they think of there buying public......than I guess I ask the question why should I care also anymore about said artist?? Makes me wonder really......I guess thats why the music business is in the shape its in now......artists/companies/ that don't care about the product they put out or lack there of....but we are expected to purchase high priced/over priced concert tickets.....for some same as usual setlist that we've heard like for the 100th or so time etc.....sorry I do tend to babble on......I guess I have no artist illusions anymore........sad but true......no offence anyone........:D

I have quite often felt this way as far back as 1983 but despite this fact I'm loving Stevie for the long haul.

I kinda lump them all together.....but Stevie/Mac/Eagles etc......they are all part of the bunch.......I'm not saying I don't like Stevie or Mac etc.....I just don't agree with all that they do right now....considering they do seem to complain alot in there interviews.....but well...I guess we do as fans but well.....we have helped pave there way to the success & riches that they have......so it doesn't hurt to speak the truth....at least our side of the truth anyway....but to each his or her own....IMO.....no offence anyone....it is what it is.....

Viv, no truer words have been spoken.

LikeAWillow and I are ditching our lives to support Fleetwood Mac in their next and probably final tour. :(

BUT no better time to make it happen, right?
