Nicksfix finally addresses Stevie's twitter account

The Nicksfix has finally addressed the twitter account that Clayton Morris started for Stevie in their interview from last month. The update was put in the middle of the main page near the pic of Stevie at the B&N signing (so it wasn't very easy to find). Here's what they have to say:

Someone on Twitter is suggesting they are the real Stevie Nicks. Please be advised that Stevie does NOT use 'Twitter' and the person claiming to be her is not.

I was reading some of it last night, and thought hmmm, this is a little nervy.

What a moron. And a little psycho. That's kind of disturbing to think that someone would contrive a play-by-play of tweets in an effort to impersonate Stevie...and what exactly is there to get out of that? The sublime satisfaction that you are deluding 146 of her fans?
But yeah, I agree with you David -- this is enough to freak Stevie out and keep her running from the internet for another decade or so. But I thought twitter had some way of monitoring accounts that were considered stolen identity? I thought I read somewhere that Paris Hilton had a bunch of twitter impersonators and they were all removed.

Other celebs have protested to Twitter and had accounts suspended when someone pretended to be them at Twitter. But I'm not even sure Stevie's team are enough into the internet to even know that much about how to stop imposters on Twitter. :shrug:

Hard to believe someone would take the time to just sit there and make up stories
about Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. I personally just like the facts, no storytelling!
