She first recorded Sorcerer for the Streets of Fire soundtrack and toured with Stevie as a background singer.

Wow... this is a neat find! And considering she must be north of 50, she's looking pretty cute.

I wonder if she would be amenable to doing a Ledge Q&A? I would love to get her insider perspective on the Rock a Little sessions- arguably one of the more difficult albums to produce. She certainly has the time to do this; houses are not exactly flying off the shelves these days...

She sounds great on Sorcerer. Love that version with Stevie in the background.

I agree - a Q&A with her would be interesting.

I have one question for her:

Several sources claim Stevie sang background vocals on "Separate Lives," Marilyn's number one duet with Phil Collins on the White Nights soundtrack, but it's actually unverified (to my knowledge). I'm curious if she did or didn't.

And Marilyn wasn't the only singer to record Sorcerer for Streets of Fire. Laurie Sargent (who was the lead singer for the Boston-based band Face to Face during the '80s) provided the vocals for Ellen Aim (played by Diane Lane), including the version of Sorcerer that's actually heard in the film. I'm curious why Marilyn was asked to record the song for the actual soundtrack release. Sargent's complete version has never been released. Sargent stills lives and performs in Boston (where I live). Her website hasn't been update since 2007, so I'm not sure if she's still performing regularly.

Here's Sargent's version as it appears in the film:

I know her husband. He was the engineer on 'Tango' and 'Out of the Cradle'.
