Now I know that most of you will probably have this concert bootleg from 1968, but I didn't (as some of you might know I don't generally care about bootlegs so I miss things occasionaly!).
However, this concert is interesting for some of the songs it includes such as "Willie and the Hand Jive" "Ready Teddy" "Long Tall Sally" and "My Baby's Skinny".

Scroll down to find the one I'm talking about.
Now I don't know anything about this site, but I get a lot of referrals to my blog from there so went to take a look.

Great bootleg, and it has indeed been around for many years. Soundboard recording so the sound quality is top-notch.
Favorite tracks include "My Baby's Skinny" (only recorded performance of this Green composition), BB King's "Worried Dream" (tremendous guitar work from Green), "Lazy Poker Blues" (an energetic performance that's unusual for Spencer playing rhythm guitar on one of Green's numbers), and "I Loved Another Woman" with Paul Butterfield sitting in on harp.
The exact date of the shows - it's clearly from more than one set, and possibly from more than one date - is not certain, but it's sometime in June 1968 for sure.

This was also recorded on the Fillmore West performance on july (5 or 7?) 1968.
As a matter of fact I believe the song title is actually titled "The Woman I Love" and it was written by BB King (King-Josea, that is). Son Seals made a nice coverage of it on his "Live and Burning" album.

Thanks for pointing out the other performance, Wouter - I'd forgotten about that. I recall seeing the title listed as "The Woman I Love" in some places too.
I've never been sure the song was a Green original or whether he modified someone else's composition - I'll have to check out the BB King snd Son Seals tracks.

Wouter,
Not to be a "know-it-all" ('cause I do know enough not to make that claim!), but the credits on the Son Seals disc and the fact that they use the same titles have lead you astray in your assumptions.
The B. B. King "The Woman I Love" is in no way lyrically related to to the song Green sings -
just the opposite, King's girl has,
"...great big legs,
and little tiny feet"
you can hear the ghost of the King song's arrangement in Green's but just faintly -
The song Seals performs (in his own brutal style) is actually a song by Doctor Clayton titled "Moonshine Woman Blues" -
The song details the debilitating effects of bootleg liquor on the singer's girlfriend and the lyrics may have served as the inspiration for Green's song,
i.e. "...her legs are so skinny,
they look like a cigarette..."
I have attempted for years to track down the origins of 'My Baby's Skinny' and at this time I would have to say that the number is a Green original - but if anyone can point me in another direction, I would love to hear from them
Just trying to keep the info out there straight

Does anyone know if the bands concert at the carousel ballroom on or about june 8 1968 got filmed and has turned up anywhere
the documented history of fillmore west suggest there was a permanent film staff on board there and they shot 40 rolls of film
if so there should be a film of paul butterfield playing with the band?????
I have found similar footage in historic vaults in USA available but very expenssive
