I know that I'm probably one of the few people who actually liked them, but I am happy to hear that they are back together officially according to reports in People & USA Today. And they are recording a new CD. :blob2: Scott Stapp looks really different now. I think he's finally gotten his act together, no drugs or alcohol. He's married with two kids now. I was really upset when Creed broke up because apart, they were nothing, Altered or Alter Bridge, :confused: & Scott solo, just not good, but together, look out! Today, I whipped out my Creed Greatest Hits CD to celebrate. And I hope to see them live sometime. (Yeah, hubby will like this :lol:)

I actually thought that Creed was a really good band. I saw them in concert on their Human Clay tour and Scott Stapp's egotism actually made him a better performer. He has quite a bit of stage presence.

I liked Creed back in the day and hated to see them break up. But, I saw Alter Bridge live 5-6 years ago when they opened for Three Doors Down in Raleigh and they blew me away. Now I'm a huge fan and have seen them live 3 more times since then. The Creed reunion will be cool and I'll probably go see them, but I really hope it's just a one time thing and Alter Bridge won't break up. The singer Myles Kennedy is fantastic and their two albums One Day Remains and Blackbird are both really great.

I've see Scott perform...and I did enjoy that as well as his solo work. Will hold off on my thoughts on any new creed material. IMO 'they' would be better off starting with a fresh brand; leaving 'creed' behind. :shrug:

I liked their music (with the exception of "With Arms Wide Open" gag) but thought the lead singer was a bit of a jerk. Their sound is very strong and I'm looking forward to hearing some new stuff from them.

I did not think that they would be touring so soon, but they are touring this summer! :blob2: There are dates on Pollstar.com & on Creed's official website. There is a Philly date but no venue listed. Tickets are going on sale in May.

A lot of people hated Creed because of Scott Stapp's "holier than thou" persona. That's part of the reason why I so fell in love with Alter Bridge. Its still all the great musicianship of Mark, Brian and Flip of Creed but it's all brand new and so much better by adding (in my opinion) one of the greatest singers ever Myles Kennedy. He's just so down to earth and he really puts so much emotion and feeling into his singing and lyrics. Looks like this Creed reunion is really happening now. I really hope it doesn't affect Alter Bridge. I'm a little sad because I think it may. Here's some Alter Bridge videos for you.Hopefully you like them. I sure do, let me know what you think. I love the music and Myle's voice, Course it doesnt hurt he's nice to look at too... :)

Hi Wendy- I just watched the first video and yes, I agree. Great sound and he *is* easy on the eyes. I imagine this Creed reunion will probably be the end of this guy's career with the band. Greed, you know.

So, I wonder if Creed is going to continue to be a Christian band or what. Every time I see the lead singer, I think of those photos of him and Kid Rock with those women (prostitutes? groupies?). :laugh:

I agree Luke. Very dated. If Stapp is actually clean that's fine but it doesn't mean he's not still an ass. This tour is totally a money making thing and I understand it to a point. Myles Kennedy posted on his myspace not to worry about Alter Bridge breaking up. He says they will continue on after this Creed thing is done. There's also a similar statement from the whole band on the Alter Bridge page. I really hope they are right. I will be heartbroken if Alter Bridge breaks up.

Little bit of trivia for you. Alter Bridge did a video for their song "Open Your Eyes" which was on the first Alter Bridge album One Day Remains. The director of that video was Dean Karr who also directed Stevie's "Everyday" video :thumbsup: Here it is if you want to take a look.

I disagree about them opening the door for "Nickleback"...
'Nickleback' earned their own way in to rock n roll, and they are nothing like 'Creed'... in my opinion...

Nickleback is a really Great band... Oh the stories I could tell... ;-)

I'll pass on this group.I'm not into modern rock,All the lead singers sound like they got up at 2.00am half asleep, go into the bathroom to take a big dump while grabbing the mike and belt out the tunes to ley a vocal track and the rest of the band are prerecorded earlier,I will stick to my hillbilly tunes.

Well I'm glad to know I'm not the only one left out there that likes Creed :laugh: I saw them in concert too and they were totally awesome--luckily I got to see them when Scott was having an "on" night!! ha ha :wavey: Will I see them this Summer......hmmm...
