This guy on YouTube has been posting some cool outtakes from Stevie's episode of VH1's Storytellers and he says there's more to come (he says he has full versions of After The Glitter Fades and Garbo too). I had never seen them before. The Rose Garden/Sleeping Angel one is superb. Such a shame this never came out on DVD in the end with these songs as bonus tracks.

I agree. And something about the way she ended Rose Garden and then how it segued into Sleeping Angel totally gave me chills. Wow! Ricoh

Wow! Thanks so much for sharing these. Sleeping Angel is one of my favorites from Stevie. It's such a strong song. It's amazing that she put it into her set. The thing about it is that arrangement really butchers the song. The entire second verse was dropped.

It is really tragic that the entire show wasn't released on DVD. Yet another missed opportunity.:distress:

Well, he specifically didn't tag them with a VH1 or Storytellers label to prevent that from happening. It looks like he put a lot of hard work into these and they are fantastic - so nice of him to share.

He also said he labeled them with his user name so that nobody else tried to take credit for him and his cohort's work. Unfortunately, I saw another YouTube user doing just that. So, my guess would be that if they do get pulled, it would be because someone is trying to take credit for his work.

It's a shame that people can't just enjoy what he is kind enough to share. Who knows what else he has in store? If people rip him off, I'd venture to say we won't find out.

That 10 seconds is honestly so beautifuly heart breaking/ and some of my favorite music in all of Steviedom. I love it. It gets me ... Everytime.

It doesn't take much... '98 was when I discovered solo Stevie. I think I listened only to the Enchanted Box Set for about a year and a half. I carried the Book with me everywhere... It's funny. This Video of Rose Garden/Sleeping Angel brought it all back. It's like it erased this whole "unleashed" business. And just like that I love her again!

god, 1997/1998 is so special to me...Enchanted was such a special time for me. I miss Mindy, Stevie's last flickering of ad libbing/vocal gymnastics and those damn sparkly stones.

the VHS I have of the unaired stuff is so crappy it's nice to see/hear these...so thanks to him for posting.

Well unfortunatuly this will be the first performance of yours at NOTS that I won't get to see. Your first year performing was my first year attending, then I performed the year you didn't go. But I did see you tear up Stand Back last year.

Are you serious? That youtube hack had better not screw up the opportunity to get more unreleased gems. I'm with you, why not just search and enjoy? Why steal it and pass it off as your own (and by the way, I saw where the other videos were posted, and the video/audio quality is SO much better with the original).

This group seems too on-the-level to pass off that kind of shady business, thank goodness.

Yeah it is nice to actually see these versions....I know back at that time someone was selling the vhs tapes for Storytellers ext versions. I didn't ever buy them back than though. Guess I should've. I also wonder why Stevie has not ever put out a full & complete dvd of her Storytellers but I could also say that about the HBO special with extras.....and a million others that I'm sure I could think of right now....Same with Fmac too....Mirage dvd with extras.....Tango dvd with extras. Really in this day & age its a totaly crime that we don't have complete concerts of all of them by now. A shame too as well.......IMO anyway.....:shrug::(

Aaahhhhhhh......the Enchanted Tour.

The only thing that could have catapaulted it further into the stratosphere would have been the presence of Waddy and Lori (Mindy can stay, just add Lori;)).

I haven't seen this in so long! I forgot Benmont was there....fantastic!

Storytellers without a doubt should have been released on CD and DVD as the full, uncut show. Shame.:(

caitlin was the one who reuploaded the unreleased storytellers songs without giving the guy credit. she also tagged the video with keywords that would make it easy for youtube to find the video and take it down.

Thanks very much for posting these! I tried to make mp3s of these songs and they didnt come out nearly as good as yours. Really nice of you to post 'em!
