busy week - a book signing, Jimmy Fallon, and now this... that leaves Regis and Kelly, The View, David Letterman... who else in New York she can do?

he did seem quite star struck when he interviewed her back in 2001. Did you catch when he called the Buckingham Nicks album "Nicks Buckingham"? Stevie was probably thinking yea, that's what we should have called it!

Matt Lauer just had a pretty serious biking accident and needs surgery, so I doubt it would be him. Too bad, I think he and Stevie have good chemistry.

I know I know. Probably unlikely. But every interview I've read, Chris has always been very supportive of FM continuing without her, and the main reason she didn't want to continue on was due to anxiety attacks from traveling. Longshot, but I'm just saying it would be pretty awesome to see all of them together again. :) And regardless, I think it would be cool to see Oprah interview any of them.

Dear Hoda and Kathie Lee

questions NOT to ask.

1. What's Landslide about?
2. What's Edge of 17 about?
3. Where did you write Dreams?
4. How fat did you get on klonopin?
5. Do you really have a hole in your nose?
6. Are you a good witch or a bad witch?
7. Were you pissed when they took Silver Spring off Rumours?
8. Who ordered the songs on Rumours?
9. What are your thoughts on train wrecks like Courtney Love, Britney Spears....?
10. Do you miss Christine?
11. Are you and Lindsey fighting again?
12. Why do you wear black?
13. Have you been to Night of a 1,000 Stevies?

She supports them...from afar. And I'm sure if she ran into any of them, she'd be very gracious. But having her interact with them via phone or physical presence on a talk show? I can't imagine her doing that; I just don't see that in in her character. What's the incentive? She's never been the type that feels the need to pander to the media and rehash history for the sake of her ego. She's truly a class act.

So yeah, I thought it was short-shrift too.
But I somehow received a general impression that the whole thing was
arranged on short notice, so maybe that's "the best they could do for her."

It wasn't so bad, they breeze through segments on the morning shows so she got her fair share of air-time. My complaint, she wasn't lit well at all (her fault mostly, she sat too comfortably on the couch and her hair was blocking the light that would have flattered her face). Still, it was fun.

When they teased the segment and showed a shot of Stevie sitting on the couch before she knew the camera was on her, she really looked unenthusiastic.

She made me laugh saying that Lindsey has a son, but the son is very quiet and he and Lindsey are just in a corner somewhere. Sounds like someone should call Child Welfare Services! Anyway, whenever I've seen the son before a concert, he's always running around, through the venue, orchestrating some friends of his. He doesn't look all that quiet.

I agree that the ending was abrupt. They shouldn't have asked her a last question that they didn't have time to let her answer.

I wish Stevie would just lighten up a little bit and not be so monotone and serious on her TV appearances. We know she has a bright, silly and light-hearted fun side, especially in private with co-workers, friends and family. Why doesn't she show it sometimes?

Just check out the stark contrast 0f how different she was during her early years with Fleetwood Mac. She was very open, smiling and giddy. Granted there's been a lot of water and time under the bridge. But now she seems so overly hardened, abrubt and unsmiling. But I believe she isn't like that all the time.

No, she's not. But those women were so callow; they'd sober anyone up. They were all ready for her to tell them how she and her soft hands lost 60 pounds in a month, or something.

But I agree with you. She doesn't normally get exposed to such a large audience and you have to seize the moment and present yourself in a way that you want non-fans to perceive you, because they aren't familiar with the other aspects of your personality, like we are.

So I don't know why suddenly Stevie is everywhere. I'm guessing because she's promoting the release of her Soundstage CD/DVD.

I guess I missed her on the Today Show, but I saw her for like two minutes on ET tonight, talking about getting Botox & it was funny, but not funny at the same time. But the way she talked about it was funny.

Now I don't do Myspace or Facebook or Twitter, that is, I didn't sign up myself, but I do read different ones. And on Fox News (cable), they seem to use Twitter. I like to read Clayton Morris' because he used to be on our local Fox affiliate. He's from the Philly area. And on his Twitter was this "Getting ready to sit down with Stevie Nicks for an interview. I'm a huge fan boy. I don't mind admitting it."

It was Hoda that cut her off, Kathie was actually trying to help her finish her train of thought. And, btw, Hoda was totally rude. How hard would it have been to just let her finish her sentence and instead of leaving her sitting there with her mouth hanging open, she could have just said, "we'll be back" and Kathie could have kept talking to her like they were chatting it up...it wouldn't have looked so insulting.

Well, once during the SYW tour she said he was gorgeous, just like his dad, but otherwise, I don't hear her mentioning him.

They used to ride up to the stage in this little lift and I remember people who were sitting on the side of the stage said they saw Lee Lee in the lift with Stevie a couple of times. Don't know where Will was. Probably in his corner.

I thought she looked beautiful, tired or not. She's got a gorgeous smile. At the beginning, before the interview, you heard the ladies say how excited she looks or something to that effect. I didn't think that was a look of excitement, lol. I didn't like the way Hoda cut her off at the end either. That wasn't a very nice way to end the interview. For a split second you could see the look on Stevie's face, as she was being cut off. I'm not sure if it was a kinda hurt look or just a bit surprised that it ended so abruptly. Maybe a little of both. It seemed like she warmed up a bit more to Kathie Lee, although, both women talked a bit too much and didn't let Stevie get a whole bunch in. Oh well... that's just my opinion. I was glad she was on anyway, short as it was.

She needs to do the Howard Stern show! He totally adores her.

I'll second that. THAT would be a cool f*cking interview.

She also had a press luncheon today, which someone I know attended. I'm trying to get details. :wavey:

SPill it, bitch.

At least they too think her hands are soft. Stevie must be sick to death talking about her weight. Oh man, when I think of the questions that could be asked :distress:

I KNOW! "Hey, didn't you lose like 60 pounds?" "Yeah, 15 years ago." WTF.

She didn't want her to keep talking & get cut off by a commercial. The music was geting louder & louder to cue them to stop the interview.

Interviewer: So you lost a lot of weight

Stevie: Well I didn't actually lose weight I just did the power plate every day

Interviewer: So how much weight did you lose.

Stevie: 5 pounds but it just changed my body

Interviewer: didnt you lose like 60 pounds before

Stevie: NO NO NO You Stupid Fucking Bitch listen to what im saying!

The last line was pretty much implied by her tone not what she rally said.
