So since his show comes on at midnight (or 12:05, I guess), does this mean it will be airing Tuesday night (April 1 is a Weds)?

I think it's more like 12:35 , which I suspect is actually going to be Thursday morning.
My mind won't rest, and I don't sleep. :distress:
But in case you wanna go to the taping in person:
For standby tickets, arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. on the morning of the taping under "NBC Studios" marquee on the 49th Street side of 30 Rockefeller Plaza (GE Building). Only one ticket will be issued per person. All standby tickets not handed out at 9:00 a.m. will be placed at the NBC Studio Tour Desk on the second floor of the NBC Experience Store in Rockefeller Plaza. Please note that a standby ticket does not guarantee admission.
Boom. Done and done. See you at the show.

So far, for Letterman, his only guest is Michael J. Fox on Thursday 4/2, so that leaves the possibility open that Stevie could appear on his show then.

But in case you wanna go to the taping in person: Although stand-by may well be the only option at this time, it may not hurt to make a phone call:
Tickets to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon are available by calling our ticket office at (212) 664-3056. Please call for availability. Generally, tickets are booked about one month in advance from the actual taping. You can request up to four tickets, and all audience members must be at least 17 years old. You may only book tickets once every six months, and you may not book tickets with any other groups of people. Also, information about last minute ticket openings will be advertised through Jimmy's Twitter updates.

I don't feel much luck with it, but I am going to try. I saw Lindsey @ Kimmel; if you make it in, it's worth it. In the case of Kimmel, in addition to online ticketing, they give away the tickets all-day to those just walking by the location. They give away more tickets then they have room for as chances are the majority of those passing by don't show for the taping later in the evening. At the time of entry, they form two seperate lines; those who purchased tickets online and those that were issued walkbys. Priority seating is given to those who purchased online. Oh, and if you look HOT you sit up front. I'd say, you're in curt! ;)

I went to a David Letterman taping once. It was on a day when a hurricane sideswiped the area and the streets became so flooded that people had to cancel their trips into the city, so they actually pleaded on the radio for people to come to the taping. It was still a pain in the behind to get in- you had to stand in these crazy lines based on your last name, your ticket status, etc. I just can't imagine how they do this every afternoon.
I forget who the featured guest was... but the musical act was this new singing sensation performing her first hit single- her name was Christina Aguilera .

I just checked Fallon's site, and apparantly, Stevie is being billed as his second guest, with the third guest being a comedian...also, she isn't shown as being a performer, but rather a sit-down guest (performers are listed on the right hand side of the guest page) Here's the guest calendar for next week from his site:

SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO QUESTION FOR STEVIE NICKS!
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/blogs/2009/03/submit-your-video-question-for-stevie-nicks/)
The legendary Stevie Nicks is going to be on the show tomorrow night. As if that's not amazing enough, Stevie will be answering a few questions from viewers like you! All you need to do is head on over to our Ask Stevie page (http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/ask-jimmy/) and follow the instructions to upload your video question - if we like your question, we'll show it on air and get Stevie to respond directly!
Here are some tips:
Show us your Stevie style! Do you have a Stevie Nicks outfit or decor that you save for special occasions? Now is the time to break it out (I'm not sure what other times you break it out. That's your business.)
Don't get too obscure! As much as you'd like to know the thread count on Stevie's purple scarf from the concert at Salt Palace Convention Center in October '79, keep it interesting for us average folk!
Ask her questions, ask her sweet little questions. (See what I did there?)
DO IT NOW! (http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/ask-jimmy/)

Are you doing a video or submitting a question by text? I went with the text route; I'm too fugly for tv.
I asked about: Sisters of the Moon, Angel, the factuality of the yellow underwear/Jimi Hendrix experience, what she did when she was bored on tour/in the studio and her green/blue hair, the possibility of more Barnes and Noble sightings, the omitting of BATB on the Soundstage dvd, if FM is doing shows in Europe and Australia, whatever happened to the blouse that was nixed from the BN cover, releasing Fritz songs, why Wild Heart hasn't been done on stage, if the closeups from Red Rocks (1986) were really that bad, if she listened to her albums, and what colour her iPod is. I think I asked about those nasty leather gloves too.
YES. I probably broke the rules, but they gotta pick one.

Awww, you put me to shame. Your questions are deep, mine are boring. :/ I asked when she was gonna do another album; and if it was gonna be solo, fm, or both. I also asked if FM was going to change up the Unleashed setlist. I also hinted STOM. I used video. I'm not pretty either; but I had already made the vid before I knew that there was a text option. I hoping that they'll see how young I am, air the clip (or atleast show it to Stevie!) giver her my phone number, she'll call me, I'll pass out, she'll come see me in the hospital, and then we'll be BFFs! Hey, it could happen!

the factuality of the yellow underwear/Jimi Hendrix experience,
Say what now?
Say what now?
This is an excerpt from "Hendrix: Setting the Record Straight" by McDermott and Kramer, 1992:
"The following day, the group traveled up the Calif. coast to perform at the Santa Clara Rock Festival. One of the better-organized festivals of 1969, Hendrix and the Experience coasted through their seventy-minute performance, sending, as the San Jose Mercury described, "nearly 20,000 of the king of rock's subjects into stunned delicious rapture." One memorable highlight of the Santa Clara appearance took place before "Foxey Lady" began. Hendrix had often introduced the song with a sly quip, usually dedicating the number to "somebody's girlfriend... we'll find out after the show" or, wile pointing to an unknown female fan, to "that girl over there in the yellow underwear." On this day, a gust of wind had lifted the skirt of a pretty folk singer who had completed her set earlier and was now watching Hendrix from the wings of the stage. The opportunity was too good to let pass and Hendrix wryly dedicated "Foxey Lady" to "the girl back there with the yellow underwear." "Yea you" confirmed Hendrix, pointing out a young Stevie Nicks red with embarrassment.
Apparently Stevie is quoted in the "thank you" part of the book where people who contributed memoirs is listed.

Well, I just hope that the underwear was yellow to begin with and didn't get that way due to extensive wear, age and usage.

I go back at 345 to see if I actually get a seat, and I guess the taping will be soon after. The ticket has numbers on it, so being second, I hope to get a seat!

*SPOILERS*
Well, I went to the taping. JRM was NOT there. Noah Wylie filled in.
First off, the line and waiting was HORRIBLE. I had to wait in the morning for a stand-by ticket. Then, I had to go back at 345 to check in....THEN....they told me I had to come back at 415. At 415, we stood in line until 530. RIDICULOUS! They took the first 27 people in the stand-by line and we got tickets.
The show was really good. They did an audience skit, so you will definitely see me. I was wearing a pink and grey striped sweater. LOOK FOR ME. It was during the baked bean skit...you will see.
Now, Stevie. She was the second guest. Wore boots and her black dress. When she came out, she was carrying a gift for Jimmy. When they got to the desk, Stevie would not talk....just making hand gestures for Jimmy to open the gift. He opened it....It was a small small small little green ceramic tea pot looking thing. She congratulated Jimmy on his new show and told him that was his dream catcher, bottle, thing.....whatever she called it. She told a story about it and had him thing of a big dream and had him blow into it. Then the topic turned to pot because JImny said something about it being a mary jane holder.
They discussed the tour, about her relationship with Lindsey (she said something along the lines of them still having feelings for each other, but just on stage...it's their time to make love) her CD/DVD... yada yada. She said she made the DVD for the kids out there and wanted be a rock-n-roll influence unlike the other artist out there at present time. She was VERY FUNNY and carefree.....she even poked fun at Ray Charles.
The video questions were lame. They had 3....one was about whether Stevie liked Lindsey with the fro and with or without the Tusk makeup. She said Tusk was Lindsey's rebellion period. Another question was about whether or not she wanted a movie made about her and Lindsey. She said they have been approched but "the story is not over yet". She said when it is time for the movie, "Lindsey Lohan will be too old to play me."
She praise Jimmy again and it was done.....
But something you wont see.....SHE DANCED DURING BREAK. She was cutting loose to the house band. It was sooooooooo cute.....she danced even when being escorted off stage....she waved and it was over.....
....all in all....it was a good night at the Fallon show.

Stevie is a Craig Ferguson fan too! At one point during one of the Borgata shows she said "I Knoooow!" and then looked over at a couple band members as they giggled and she said, "Sorry, too much Craig Ferguson!"

She came hobbling out and hardly said a word at first and then spoke in a pretty monotone-interview voice for most of her segment... Last night she was lively, posing, dancing, laughing! Its strange to see how she acts in a room full of strangers and in a room full of fans who are also strangers!

I just followed that link to Stevie's mention on Jimmy's blog which, if you haven't seen it, references about a dozen Stevie and FM song titles (kudos for fitting 'Fire Burning' in there, btw). It ends with him asking if he could borrow her "Tusk", so I had to leave a comment...
Jimmy, I hate to be the one to point this out. But asking Stevie to borrow her Tusk would be kind of rude. In Mick Fleetwood's biography he mentions that Tusk is actually another word for a certain part of the male anatomy... and while Stevie is known to have quite a set... I seriously doubt she's got a Tusk. LOL! Excellent interview, you've gained a new fan. My DVR is now set to planet Fallon. Keep up the good work!

Macfanforever, it was a really funny moment. You have to admit you did look a little wild eyed in your videos, which is probably what got the reaction. I was the host of a community service awards on friday here in LA and I was up for one of the awards. I didn't win but my friend did, and I was actually much happier because then I got to poke fun at him through the show, in a lighthearted way of course, which got a ton of laughs from the audience. And I always say, I'd trade a personal gain over a good laugh any day. So no matter what anyone says, your video made Stevie smile and after the decades of heartache that woman has endured and the number of smiles she's given to all of us, isn't that a great feeling?

Stevie saved the show with her kooky green dream holder. It was funny when she was answering the questions from the fans. It looked like she thought they could hear her answers and were going to respond. Did anyone else think it was weird how she was sitting to the side with her back towards Noah Wylie? She's a trip.

I bet if she sat back her feet wouldn't touch the ground. Plus, she doesn't always seem very comfortable with the whole interview process. I wouldn't be surprised if she has never watched ER and wasn't that familiar with Noah Wyle to begin with.

Funny. I forget if they went to any commercials during her segment but I was surprised no one like a director or producer of the show wouldn't ask her to turn more towards the audience.

Stevie is a Craig Ferguson fan too! At one point during one of the Borgata shows she said "I Knoooow!" and then looked over at a couple band members as they giggled and she said, "Sorry, too much Craig Ferguson!"
omg, really? +1 for Stevie. I love Craig, too. I could just imagine her doing the "I III KNOOOWWW" a la Craig. He should have her on.
She doesn't have her band with her and FM is on a break. I suppose she could have had someone come in and play acoustic guitar and do Landslide. But then we'd all piss and moan and be like "Oh no! Not Landslide again." When I watched her shuffle out on that stage with Jimmy holding her hand, I realized how lucky we are to be getting anything from her. I think I'm going to have to go see my girl a few more times.
I had a bet going with someone that she would do Landslide or Dreams. :p
I loved how she didn't crack a smile until he told her how beautiful she was. ("I was beautiful!"... uh, Stevie? Is your name Lindsey Buckingham? )

Reminds me of during a break in the filming of Lindsey's Soundstage, when Lindsey said "wha' happened?" in the same tone and cadence as Fred Willard's character in "A Mighty Wind"- I (and a few others) busted out laughing.

I've never watched the Jimmy Fallon show before. I didn't expect it to be as bad as it was! All of the show, leading up to Stevie, was two inept & tediously long, unfunny skits. I felt sorry for the audience; there was a lot of uncomfortable silence, and the girl sitting in the aisle who got a lot of camera time during the first sketch looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but there.
I love Stevie in all her weirdness, but she can be really odd (nerves?) when she appears on TV shows. I thought it was so very bizzare and slightly disrespectful when she sat down with her back turned, totally shutting out the other guest!! Who else does that?? Perhaps she needed her alone time with Jimmy, but it was really strange.
Also, the gift she him (and the way she did it) did nothing to dispell critics who don't take her seriously. I wish she would have been a little more approachable. For instance, I just listened to a brief radio interview with her (the one recently posted on this site), and she was so direct, accessible, fluid, and engaging. I wish she could let her guard down and just talk and act like she would among friends when she accepts these opportunities.

It was Jay Leno that she came out and didn't say anything at first. I thought of that while watching this last night, also. But she looked at Jay like he was crazy and I wondered if he had offended her backstage before the taping or something and she was just pissed. At that time, the Street Angel days, she hadn't been doing many interviews at all, I don't think.
I like to think that Jimmy's show just hadn't hit it's stride yet. How long has it been on? It can't have been on very long, I don't think. It seems like he's trying to break away from the traditional way talk shows are by doing crazy skits that sometimes involve the guests and sometimes the audience. He also seems a little nervous but when he was on SNL he was always really funny and charming, so I think he just needs to get used to it. Lots of shows have a rough start, especially ones that start out trying to be something new and original. When Letterman started he had to offer something totally different than what Carson was doing but even then, there were just two of them. How many late night talk shows are there now? And they're all pretty much the same except for the host, so I applaud his efforts and hope things fall into place.
Sure the baked beans flopped but who would have guessed Letterman's Alka Seltzer suit would have gotten so many laughs back in the day?
One last question, does Stevie know Jimmy Fallon? She mentioned having talked to his brother in law the day before and I was just wondering if he was somehow a friend or friend of a friend or something.

One last question, does Stevie know Jimmy Fallon? She mentioned having talked to his brother in law the day before and I was just wondering if he was somehow a friend or friend of a friend or something.
Yeah, I was wondering about that. His wife's brother Jim Juvonen works on movie sets. He's kind of famous for bringing people together, including Jimmy and his sister. Maybe he was a crew member on something Stevie's done. If that's the brother-in-law Stevie meant.
As for Fallon, I just don't think he has the presence that the most successful hosts have. That thing that brings them on a par with anyone they're interviewing. Johnny was smooth. David is -- well, he can be insulting. Conan is wacky (but exceedingly intelligent) but they all seem to be on a parity with anyone they're talking to and I think that's been true from the beginning of their hosting careers. Fallon just strikes me as a boy playing grown up. Always fumbling. He's charming, but he doesn't seem to have the command of a host.
But yes, it's early days. I am anti-Leno, so I can't comment on his appeal. I once loved him when he was a stand up comedian, but he's a big turn off for me now.

Back in 1993, when David Letterman was about to leave "Late Night", Lorne Michaels was charged with finding a new host for the timeslot. The ultimate finalists? Dana Carvey, and an unknown named Conan O'Brien. This time around, Michaels opted for the "Carvey". Fallon is an unequivocal, unexcusable disaster of a choice/and a host that- much like a Jay Leno monologue joke- could have been seen coming from a mile away.
NBC screwed themselves over when they guaranteed that the Tonight Show would be Conan's in 2009 back in 2004- and that if they reneged, Conan would get a $30M penalty AND the immediate opportunity to go to any other network for a show in any time slot. Seemed like a good idea at the time, with Conan dominating the timeslot vs. slapdash competition, along with Leno's supposed impending retirement and the network's strong desire to avoid what happened in '92 with Carson/Leno & the jilted Letterman.
Flash forward to this past year- a late night landscape where Craig Ferguson often beat Conan in the ratings both across the board & in the key demos. Now, as anyone who has watched Ferguson's show knows, its done on a laughable shoestring budget. The "studio" where its filmed is literally the former wardrobe room for the "Sonny & Cher" show. They can't even be bothered to film it in HD. There's no band- they're even too cheap to play actual (non-public domain) songs during the intro/outros of commercial breaks. Its just Craig (who is wildly entertaining). And Craig wiped Conan's big budget yet hopelessly predictable one-dimensional show's ass.
Conan doesn't stand a chance at 11:30- NOT with Jay Leno still in LA and on before him (with the 10PM show), but also because he's simply just not up to it. The choice/installation of Jimmy Fallon is merely Part 1 of a gloriously horrific trainwreck.

I think it was the same get up, but the lighting seemingly was too harsh on the Fox clip. At her age, lighting really is everything!
And (in general and not a reply to the quoted) -- she has not been thin since the WH tour. True she lost a bunch of weight for The Dance, but it was not what could be classified as thin in my book. She looked good, but not really thin. I really loved her dancer body up to and including most of the WH period. I think she got down close to it in the 7W video though.

Sorry, i should have clarified...What i mean by that is, she looks much healthier now than she did then (in '98) because she looks good with a little bit of weight on her. Her face looks a little fuller now than on Letterman...I was referring to her looking healthy, and not just from a cosmetic viewpoint.

You are too old and ugly to play Lindsey :p:p:p:p:p
Seriously, congrats on getting you ? answered.
Also, and as an aside, this is a good example of La Nicks not hating technology.

Also, and as an aside, this is a good example of La Nicks not hating technology. She adores technology: limousines with power windows & electronic fuel-injection, cardiac electronic equipment in hospitals, microwaves, stage lights, and sound amplification systems.
She does, however, hate the Internet culture.

Exactly. She hates the idea that people are rude enough to walk into you or wreck their cars while texting, etc. I can't say I blame her.

I agree with that also, I think that when ur having lunch with someone, or a conversation with someone, in a movie, driving, and the list goes on, Put down that damn phone. People do text while your right in front of them trying to be engaged in their life, and its like do they even care that im standing here? THEY asked ME to cme to lunch!

Exactly - there is a time and place for everything. I wend for Mexican food and, more importantly, margaritas last night at this dive near Union Square. My friend Brad and I ate, drank, and cut up something fierce. It was great to catch up because I had not really seen him as he been in a show for the last month Well, we continued the evening at a piano bar in The Village (yes, I sang La Nicks on stage  ) -- while we were there, he checked is messages and found out some friends were just down the street. So, we discussed it and we invited them over. We all had a great time. That was an example of how this culture can have a good result and we can be respectful of each other at the same time.

With respect, they were airbrushing photos way before the dawn of computers or photoshop.
Interestingly, according to Dallas Austin, La Nicks is still very old school in the studio in that she sings all the stuff live as opposed to using ProTools to "fly the bars," whatever that means.
In the end, I think La Nicks hates the rudeness factor of the online world and that is all. I think when people extrapolate this to "La Nicks hates all electronics" they are incorrect and are totally missing her meaning, which to me is obvious because she flat out states it.

Check out this interview on Letterman that Stevie did when promoting Enchanted in 1998. She's sitting the exact same way: The interview starts at 5:07.

Just a side note...I can't believe how much better Stevie looked on Fallon...the hair, the makeup, the outfit all get an A+ from me. I think she was a bit too thin on Letterman too.
God, her voice is so rich and fabulous here.

God, her voice is so rich and fabulous here.Always been one of my favorite TV performances from The Third Age of Stevie. Rich, lustrous singing, with great vibrato & range, reminiscent of the Shakin' the Cage tour performances.
Stew, what do you think?
Michele, what bout you?
Wil, how about it?
Ali, agree?
Luke, like it too?

I like that- The Third Age of Stevie.
You can hear it in the first note- very velvety and strong. Just beautiful.
I remember thinking that it was an interesting performance choice for her to promote that CD. Not exactly one of her more commercially successful songs.

^^^ This was a fantastic performance. She looks vibrant, thin, and full of joy to be singing.
Something happened to her voice after the Enchanted tour. The TISL tour voice was and on the record (save maybe for a spot here and there) was lower and different. She was sick for much of the TISL tour, but even before that, it was apparent on some songs. After that your, she regained some of it, but it has not come back in full force. She can do it though - look at BC, Circle Dance, Call on Me for Magic, Red River Valley, and her harmonies on Monday Morning, SG, NGBA - to name a few.

Yes indeed. More so than that summer's Tonight Show performance of "Stand Back".

Aww, Stevie appeared to be a bit nervous. Even though the stories are not fresh, I found her eagerness to pass on blessings to Fallon, and the gift, to be fresh and charming. She is still so girlish. :D

*I have to mention that I saw Loreena M. at the Great Am. Music Hall, back in the early 90's, and she forgot the lyrics to Lady of Shalott several times and had to start the song over. It was an amazing show*
