I put a thread in the Post-Rumours Forum about Mick appearing at a benefit concert to raise funds for "Scars To Freedom", a non-profit that treats scarred war vets. Now I just found another article that says STEVIE will appear, too!!!!!!!!!!

First Lady Michelle Obama will speak to the crowd at the gala via satellite. A concert will be simulcast all over the world, according to Brain Quintana, gala executive producer. Headliners Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood have confirmed they will perform at the concert, along with rapper producer Timbaland. Comedian Jack Black will entertain guests at the gala dinner, said Arias. “This thing has developed a life of its own,” said Ponte, noting all the press and media attention generated since a September article written by Lance Corporeal Nicholas M. Dunn was published in the Marine base newspaper, The Observation Post.

It's March 28th --- only two days after Stevie & the Mac play in Canada! Here's the first article I found:

What a wonderful cause! And it's SUCH a Stevie thing, helping wounded service people. :xoxo:

so when they say the concert will be simulcast all over the world does that mean it will be on tv?

I dunno, kak -- I assumed it was just going to be broadcast for the armed forces networks, but with First Lady Michelle Obama making an appearance, the benefit sounds fairly high-profile. Maybe!

I dont know I am interested in seeing Stevie do more of a solo type show. Do you think Mick will be playing the drums while she is singing or something? I can bet money that Stevie will have a lot more energy doing this type of show. I really think she holds back some with Fleetwood Mac because her solo shows are so different.

I'm a late bloomer of a fan
only been hard core since 2003 :D
but i will never get bored or tired seeing them or Stevie live

however, Dreams, Rhiannon, Landslide [unless it was WELL rested and she came out on a solo tour one day and Lindsey showed up for it] i would put all 3 of those to bed. enough already

CONCERT POSTPONED :(

Due to production difficulties, the Scars to Freedom event has been postponed. This in NO WAY reflects our mission and goals. Scars to Freedom is and will continue to provide FREE scar revision to any wounded soldier.

Detail on the new date will be forthcoming.

http://www.scarstofreedom.com/concert.html

Shoot. I knew it was too good to be true......hopefully Stevie will be able to make the new date, whenever that is.
