Does this exist..? And is it a recording from the Street Angel era? I'd love to have that!

Does anyone else feel like Mirror Mirror is a forgotten jewel? I don't like the weather forecast sounding versions nearly as much as a certain one in particular from the 80's versions - (the song sounds way more put together and not so weather-forecast sounding ..does anyone remember it? I'm sure most people have it.)

I do love this song. I wish Stevie would have actually gone through with the whole Mirror Mirro concept album, instead of shifting gears into the Rock A Little album. I guess Other Side of the Mirror ended up being her "magic" concept album... but I can't help but think Mirror Mirror might have been a bit better... more of a rock edge to it. In any event, great song... never heard the newer version you spoke of though?

Thank you very much! I have had this version before, but it disappeared with the rest of my drive - so thanks! :)

There is another version from the Rock A Little period that is different from all the other ones like the one above.

I remember back in '94 when I bought the Blue Denim cassette single and heard Mirror Mirror. I went nuts, and still do whenever I hear that song. I absolutely love it and wonder why Stevie wasn't happy with the way it turned out. That song is complete and utter desperation. The vocal is so powerful, one of her best angry songs.

And yes, there is another version of Mirror Mirror that sounds completely different from the version that was released. I have it somewhere on an old cassette and it's really wonderful, but the version I have is not the whole song or it fades out in the middle or something to that effect. I can't remember. I don't even know if I still have my cassette player to listen to it!!
