QUEENS (WABC) -- A plane that experienced an engine failure above Queens may have dropped plane parts on a College Point neighborhood.
American Airlines Flight 309, an MD 80, took off from LaGuardia Airport en route to O'Hare International Airport in Chicago at 8:18 a.m. this morning.

No more found in US web news, but a local peruvian news (don't know their source) confirms it was part of an engine, and the plane landed in JFK following procedures, no one hurted.
No suspects of birds like in the Hudson river incident.

Well, statistics do indicate that you're safer on an airplane than walking down the street.
