Hey all~ I'm home sick today. :( I probably caught something from one of the people on the planes I was on this weekend.

Oh, and I thought I'd just unleash ALLLLL of my woes on y'all today. First of all, I live in a VERY small town in the Rocky Mountains. (Though I just found out that we're moving to Wisconsin ) So, as you can imagine, with like 200 kids in the Jr/Sr high, teen pregnancies are VERY rare. But, my friends have been texting me all day about this, there are not 2, but TWO pregnant girls in our school right now. 1 of them is an 11th grader, the other an EIGHTH GRADER. THIS IS MADNESS! Oh, and my history teacher had to be taken to the hospital today because they thought he had a heart attack, but he's okay now.

Now, on to my REAL question. So as some of you know, I was in Wisconsin this weekend, pouting about how I couldn't see FM. So I was talking to my unlce, and he said that he saw Stevie open for Jackson Browne. He couldn't remember the exact year; but he said 81-82. And I was like WTF!? Can anyoen tell me if this is true or not? I'd never heard of this before! Any speculation or information about Stevie and Jackson. (a Jackson Browne concert was my first. xD)

~A very confused Rhiya

I think it was the other way around- Jackson Browne opened up for Fleetwood Mac on the last night of the first US Festival in 1982  .

I know that he didn't go to US Festival, but that could be the case. Though he made it clear to me that he went to see Jackson and not Stevie!!!

Stevie wasn't an opening act in 1981-82.

Maybe your uncle is thinking of the benefit concerts that Jackson Browne pulled together. Browne & Don Henley put on shows on the West Coast in 1985 for environmental & political causes, & invited Stevie to sing, which she did. One was Mulholland Tomorrow for the Santa Monica Mountains, & the other was Sanctuary for central & south American refugees.

It might have been the show at the Rose Bowl....Stevie came on before Jackson, but she certainly didn't "open" for him!

I know that when I saw Stevie during the Wild Heart tour that I was back at the same venue a few weeks later to see Jackson Browne so I can place them both on the road at the same time so who knows-it's possible but that would have been what--1983/1984? not 1981/1982?

Alright, so I talked to him, and asked him if he was crazy. He said that it COULD have been in '83 too. So, that could be a possibility too. I was very surprised when he told me this.

Another uncle of mine told me that at the Fleetwood Mac concert he went to in the 70's, Stevie fell off the stage. Now THAT I was not surprised of. He said that it was because she had seeing trouble (Which I know is true, she sometimes needs glasses), but really, it was most likely because of coke.

this was reported in a magazine back in the day~ they made it sound as if it was because her vision was so bad~ i remember reading there was colored tape or something put on the stage afterwards so stevie would know how far to go before toppling again~
