Well, if it means we get to see Hillary Duff riddled with bullets...why not?

From the Wikipedia article:

Hamer obtained a quantity of civilian Browning Automatic Rifles (manufactured by Colt as the "Monitor") and 20 round magazines with armor piercing rounds.

the lawmen opened fire, killing Bonnie and Clyde while shooting a combined total of approximately 130 rounds.

Parker did not die as easily. The posse reported her uttering a long, horrified scream as the bullets tore into the car.

other sources claim a total closer to 25 bullet wounds per corpse

Hells yeah.

You, me and Faye Dunaway think alike.

Faye recently went on the record in regard to the casting: "Couldn't they at least cast a real actress?"

Hilary responded: "I think that my fans that are going to see the movie don't even know who Dunaway is. I think it was a little unnecessary, but I might be mad if I looked like that now, too."

Hilary Duff thinks she has fans. That's funny.

I actually think Hillary Duff is a very good actress. She was so touching in War, Inc. -- an astounding feat given how ludicrous (in a good way) her character was. I got no probs with her as Bonnie Parker. And is Bonnie & Clyde a remake? I mean, there've been numerous tellings of that story (bio and fictionalized). Hopefully this one will bring back the hot gay character that Clyde Barrow has an affair with. I hope Steven Strait plays Clyde.

ETA: omg, Kevin Zegers is playing Clyde. PERFECT. he's so hot. and a damn good actor.

In the original script for Bonnie & Clyde, there was a scene where Clyde invites C.W. Moss (Michael J. Pollard) to have a threesome with Bonnie, but Beatty demanded it be cut as well as a few other moments that implied Clyde was gay. Instead, they made Clyde impotent.

In the original script CW was a hunk. lol

More on Hil Duff, here was my review of The Lizzie Maguire Movie when it came out back in 2003:

Oh lord, child, don't get me started on Rob flippin' Zombie.

But you forgot the planned remake of the absolutely stunningly brilliant <i>Oldboy</i>, directed by Park Chan-wook...which is apparently going to now be directed by Spielberg...and star...WILL SMITH. *head explodey*

I really can't wrap my head around all this remake nonsense. Horror, cult & sci fi films especially are my thang, and I really, really wish people would come up with some new ideas already. Remakes are pointless (regardless of genre). If the movie was good to begin with, then we do not need to do it over again. If the movie was bad to begin with, then we also do not need to do it over again. It's simple.

Rob Zombie's *ahem* <i>reimagining</i> of my beloved <i>Halloween</i> is an example of the former, and the recent remake of <i>Prom Night</i> is an example of the latter.

We need another <i>Escape from New York</i> like I need a 6 inch hole in the back of my head. Leave my Carpenter classics alone already, people! Russell is too old to play Snake again, and Snake IS <i>Escape</i>. Same goes for <i>Hellraiser</i> - who the hell (har) do they think they are going to cast as Lead Cenobite/Pinhead? Doug Bradley IS Pinhead.

The saddest thing is that most people will never realize that the stupid movies Hollywood keeps pushing out are often actually just bad remakes of what were once good films. Case in point: the recent film called <i>The Uninvited</i>? Bland remake of a really rather good Korean horror flick, <i>Janghwa, Hongryeon</i> (American release title was "A Tale of Two Sisters")

Argh.

Bad Lieutenant

I have faith in Werner Herzog, & as maligned as Nic Cage is (generally speaking- can you imagine how LAME "The Wrestler" would have been if he, the first choice, starred in it?), to see him in a pseudo-sequel to "8MM" could conceivably work.

This is not as much of a remake of the Keitel original as taking the character and putting him in a different, yet equally morally daunting, environment.

If your screaming will make him stop, yes.
But in this case, I think SHRIEKING is called for.

This opens March 13...
(I'm not a fan of the original, so I don't really care about this remake.)

If I thought all my freakouts about what a monstrously bad thing it is to let Rob Zombie fiddle around with <i>Halloween</i> might actually get him to stop...

Couldn't he have just started with <i>Season of the Witch</i> and gone from there?

Remaking <i>Last House</i> is utterly useless, but I suppose that goes without saying.

And let's not forget this remake....
(I saw the super-long trailer nearly a year ago)

Whatever it is...<b>IT'S ALIVE!</b>

Is that the poster for the remake with Bijou Phillips as Lenore? I see the date on the poster says 2007, but I don't remember them actually releasing it yet.

Which isn't a bad thing, of course, because...mutant killer babies? Well, it's just been <i>done</i>, darling. After all, who could forget the sequels, <i>It Lives Again</i> and <i>It's Alive III: Island of the Alive</i>?

It's the remake with Bijou. The poster was a AFM pre-production poster, but the film was for a 2008 release, which never happened.
I have the DVD of It's Alive 2 & Island of the Alive.

Here's the trailer for the It's Alive remake.

The Xombie thing will be fun.

I think we're going to go check out the Friday the 13th remake on Friday. Can't say I'm looking forward to seeing it, but at least we're going to the theater that will give you a giant ICEE with vodka in it for 5 bucks.

The Halloween remake was awful(They changed so much of the story and loaded on blood and gore) and so was Prom Night(Wasn't even the same story as the original) The Fog Remake was ok.

In Ottawa where I live we have a repotoire theater called "The Mayfair" which opned in 1932 and is the oldest theater in the nations capital. It was famous for being double bills every night with a mix of cult and classic with 2nd run Box office hits of recent years. They also showed Foreign films and indepedant films .

In recent years the emphasis was on new box office movies and less on classics. When the current owners decided to pack it in it was closed in Nov until a group of people got together and saved it.

Now they are showing alot of classics on the big screen. This weeknd it is Friday the 13th the original at Midnight and on Sat it is Smokey and The Bandit at 2:00 and at Midnight Emmanuelle. They are also showing this month Ghoulies, My Bloody Valentine the 1981 Original,Re Animator, ET, The Muppet Caper, The Muppet Movie,West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Hard Target, Double Team, Timecop, Maximum Risk.

I am glad that I will finally get to see Friday the 13th on the big screen.

^^^^

Your theater sounds like it rocks. I'll have to remember it in case I ever find myself in Ottawa. Go see Re-Animator on the big screen for me. I shall live vicariously through you like that, haha.

But you are right about Rob Zombie loading his <i>Halloween</i> up on the blood and gore. He ruined that story 15 ways to Sunday, and that was one of the ways - he turned it into a film that just caters to the "<i>Saw</i> movies are AWESOME!" set. Completely obliterated what made Carpenter's so genius.

I wrote a rather long rant on my website addressing exactly how he screwed it up (it's here (http://zombiegirlsonline.net/2009/01/04/rob-zombie-is-really-starting-to-piss-me-off/), if you should care to read it, though warning: contains language).

I hope you're not making fun of the It's Alive trilogy. Larry Cohen is a genius.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that music video director Samuel Bayer was just signed to direct Platinum Dunes (the company behind recent remakes of Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw) remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Bayer was to direct Platinum Dunes remake of Near Dark, but they fast-tracked Elm Street. Bayer has directed videos for Metallica, Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins and Pat Benatar.
