Do you have a certain favorite little movement, a gesture, a look by Stevie? I have quite a few, but i've always liked her little side-glances - no other singer does that, or at least that i know of-
like here: around the 1:03 mark - she looks to the side of the stage, then BAM! right at the camera and to the other side again. I find she does that a lot- it's a Stevie thing in my book :)

Just that little half-smile. I think it's so adorable.

Of course her gestures when she sings, I just love watching that. I have many favorites. The twirling as well.

And a specific moment? Stevie doing the twist, from the Mick Fleetwood wedding video.

My favorite moment in that video is at 4:00. She is biting her lower lip, and then like plump ripe fruit falling from a tree, it drops and she sings.

I have many. One of the earliest that caught my eye is when she is standing at the mike singing and stomping one foot up and down on the floor with those platform shoes.

I wonder if one calf muscle is larger than the other after years of doing that.

Mirage's Sisters Of The Moon was my first Fleetwood Mac video and I was completely terrified and in awe at the same time, because I had never seen anything like it. When she's singing in tongues, that still gives me goosebumps. And the little Stevie/Lindsey scene of course.

Here's another video I really enjoy, thoroughly for the fact that the audio is completely off and because you can never listen to Dreams and Outside The Rain enough. Ahem. ;)

Wow...there are so many moments I love.

When that genuine, shy smile sneaks onto her face and betrays her control...

When her eyes glaze over and she utterly becomes one with the music and the song...

Whenever she twirls...or howls....

Whenever her footsteps match the drum beats...

When her eyes widen briefly for a certain lyric...

The Gold Dust Trance....especially in the Soundstage performance...

Whenever she looks into the camera....I melt.

Her smile and eyes at 1:16

The entire video for Gypsy, and most especially at 3:21, "and it all comes down to you" when she points at you.

And my absolute favorite performance ever:

I love when she twirls her hands, and turns away from the mic in that video. And I love the contrast between this and the Gypsy video. A feminine, childish dancer and the Rock Queen.

Ditto to anyone here who has listed SOTM from the 'Mirage' tour video. I think some of my most favorite Stevie memories also come from that video, especially from 'The Chain':

the ahhhhhhhh at 00:49

the yeahhhhhh at 02:14

the togeeeeeeetttther at 03:37

the crazy tamborine dance at 04:17

My favorite moment in that video is at 4:00. She is biting her lower lip, and then like plump ripe fruit falling from a tree, it drops and she sings.

Sounds erotic.

Anyway, my favourite "moments" are: the beginning of SOTM from the Mirage video when she's rocking out with that cowbell or woodblock or whatever it is, and in her first years with the Mac, she used to bite her lip and then look off to the left at Mick and Lindsey. I thought that was cute. And that tambourine dance to Gold and Braid in the HBO White Winged Dove video! There's a recreation some Ledgies did up on YouTube. And when she totally flips out and goes insane during the latter part of SOTM from that Mirage concert... Great stuff. However, I don't like it when she does those freaking hand movements, especially during Gold Dust Woman. I liked it when she did it in the 70s, when she songs were new, but not now. :sorry: It takes away from the song, imo.

1. I thought that was the drugs.

That may be the case in some performances.

However, I've seen some recent performances where she is perfectly fine and lucid between songs, but then when she really gets into a good song, it seems as if she's not seeing what is in front of her, it's like she and the music are all that exists.

At least that's how it seems to me. I'd give nearly anything to know what she is seeing and experiencing in those moments.

The woman is pure magic.

My favorite Stevie moment without a doubt is Sisters of the Moon from the Mirage concert. Just watching that song never fails to put me into an utterly good mood lol. I love when she starts screaming in tongues... and babbles at the end about stuffed animals living at her house. Coked out Stevie is just sweeter than baby Jesus in the manger to me LOL.

I agree. The movements appear contrived and rehearsed nowadays, rather than as a spontaneous kind of reaction to how she's feeling?

That may be the case in some performances.

Yes, yes! I have seen it to and if I was not working (ahem), I would try to find an example of this. It's almost like she shakes a little bit and her eyes kind of glaze over in an intense way. It's a split second view of the "old" Stevie.

I was being serious. :distress:

No, I really do love that noise, and everything else about that performance.

I also love her in "Tusk" from the Mirage concert - the cowbell and the little goat noise she makes for no reason. Actually, I love them all in that performance. They are all just straight up jammin,' and look like they are having fun. Plus, Lindsey's "SHUT YO' MOUF, TALKIN' 'BOUT TUUUUUSSSSSK!" makes my life complete.

Let's see...oh, and everything about "I Need to Know" from the HBO concert. She kicks all kinds of ass in that.

What?:laugh::laugh::laugh: I've never heard that! *runs off to go watch*

ETA: CHRIST ON A CRACKER. THAT WAS FANTASTIC. Right before she does it, she like, shakes her head a bunch of times, like she's trying to shake off the goat demons.

I also really loved it when they were all gathered in front of Mick and John stops playing and says something to Christine.

I know, right? And then after she's done making the noise, she runs away really fast. Obviously, the looming specter of a future South Park episode was saying, "I got you now!" and she was trying to flee.

I really like so many things from that video. I need to make an animated .gif of Lindsey hanging off the edge of the stage, looping endlessly. I've had a wee clip of the "Shut yo' mouf!" part as a text alert ringer on my phone for ages - I have the Stevie "aw!" from the video clip I posted earlier as one, too.

It annoys EVERYONE, but it makes me happy.

 I like them.

The "aw!" one is muddled-sounding if you play it on your computer, but the vocal stands out more from the music on my BlackBerry. And it took me FOREVER to trim off as much of Mick's drumming as I could from the "Shut yo' mouf" one. OCD, OCD!

I attached 'em, if'n you want 'em. My BlackBerry is all Mac'd out, with Stevie wallpapers and Lindsey shouting at me whenever I get an email and stuff.

:D :xoxo:

That's not a stupid question. If I am making one from a video, I usually just hack it down in Camtasia, and then save the audio from it as an .mp3. If I am making one from an audio, I run it through Audacity. That's for my phone that supports .mp3 ringtones. Some phones don't, so then the sound file would need converted again to whatever the phone does support.
