Think Mariah Carey couldn't get any trashier? Well, you'd be wrong.

American mosaic artist Jason Mecier has created a unique portrait of the singer using only beauty essentials like lipstick and eyeliner.

And Mariah isn't the only famous face to get a rubbish makeover - other stars to get Jason's 3D mosaic treatment include late pin-up Anna Nicole Smith, singer Dame Shirley Bassey and comic Chris Rock.

Tragic Anna Nicole often came under fire for being trashy but she really is in a portrait made out of rubbish, including a margarine tub, pens and pink toys.

A discarded cell phone and a Coca-Cola bottle are among the junk used in Dame Shirley's portrait. Ex-Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks, American drag queen Ru Paul and comedy legends Cheech and Chong are among San Francisco-based Jason's latest creations.

He has also knocked up a tasteful portrait of American cookery queen Rachael Ray out of pasta, as well as junk portraits of art icon Andy Warhol, US comedian Margaret Cho and actress Morgan Fairchild.

Yeah, the other ones are pretty cool too.

I downloaded the Stevie one and I'm trying to zoom in and figure out all the stuff in there - I see a bottle of nail polish in her hair, a cassette tape under her arm and an old cell phone or remote control toward the bottom.

So fun to see this posted! I first saw this while walking by a hair salon near where I work here in San Francisco. The salon is called Spunk, and I had met the owner named Suzie when she opened it. It caught my eye about a month ago and I walked in to ask her about it and she said it was made by an artist friend of hers. Until I got close to it, I couldnt tell it was made up of all these old 8 tracks. It really is a cool piece of work.

I see one of those little incense burners for cone incense, a contact lens case, a lightbulb, a silver spoon (ha!), a padlock, some wax grapes...it's like Where's Waldo in my junk drawer. Too cool.

Looks like an empty birth control pill compact above the dove; and a seashell and bottle of Visine to the left. Are those tampon applicators along the right side of the "scarf" or chiffon draped over her arm?

Y'all should check out the other ones he did - the Anna Nicole Smith one is fabulous.

I think they are tampon applicators, but I hope not. Haha.

I also see a pack of cigarettes, I think, under the contact lens case at her shoulder, and a toothbrush by the dove's beak.
