I was watching you tube and someone commented that there is a video of lindsey attacking stevie? something like he kicked her in the ass during a performance? I think I remember reading something like a long time ago. Does anyone know if there really is a video or is this true and if so what happen?
I will smack him senseless touching our stevie!!!!

I will smack him senseless touching our stevie!!!!:mad:Yes, it's on YouTube. He kicks her in the ass, & then he bent over & spit on her mop.
But she appears to be smiling throughout. She turns to him & says, "You card!"

I'm intrigued now. Does anyone have the link to the video?

"Blackguard" would be more appropriate, mister.

For SYW, there was a fan concert review of them somewhere in Europe and they reportedly cursed at someone on the floor and said "get the f--- out of our concert" which I thought was absolutely charming. But then, the writers said they also said something like, "how dare you?!" to the audience. I thought that was very quaint. I thought Lindsey and Stevie were on the verge of challenging audience members to a duel.
Stevie could hand Lindsey one of her black leather gloves and he could reach down and smack a fan in the face with it.
How dare you!

This calls to mind the Monty Python fish-slapping skit.

Perhaps they could put this in place of the Tusk boxing match. I would pay 2 grand to see that up close, mhm.

WHAT??? WHERE??? WHEN???
The only "kick" I've ever seen is in Sisters Of The Moon performance in the Mirage tour. In minute 3.28 Lindsey pushes her while he crosses the stage.

Someone tell me if there are more kick videos.

I'm just going to presume it is from the SYW tour?
I heard about this kicking story too. I think it happened sometime during Tusk or Mirage, if it even did happen. ETA: I believe it happened in Australia or New Zealand. After the show, Christine slapped Lindsey and told him never to do that again.

Are we talking about New Zealand?
Moz, look carefully at SOTM video. at 3.28 you'll see Stevie moving backwards. it's Lindsey who just rammed her.

Is this the one where the guys being thrown out were shooting birds at LB and Stevie shot one back at them? LOL. I thought that was hilarious...

right! but lindsey ramming stevie doesn't sound as terrible here if you look at the context of the whole video.

Yes, I think that's the same one, but I don't know what show I read that review for. There may have been several fan reviews about it. Michele

This may be a parody of the past fights and kicks.. Lindsey is kind of boxing Stevie but ending with a sweet hug. My (not mac fans) friends didn't understand this scene (at minute 5:06), but I knew. It's like this summarizes all the feelings each time they do a record (and tour) together

Yeah, it was that one. Manchester Evening News Arena, 4th December 2ooo3. Apparently a fight broke out in the crowd, during, ironically, Tusk, to which Stevie and Lindsey both got upset. It seemed two men assaulted another man, with Lindsey coming to his defence. He stopped the song and told the two men to leave.

I couldn't tell you, since I didn't attend the concert. She did say, however, according to multiple reviews, 'How dare you. Get the hell out of our concert'.
She may have flipped them off, but it wasn't noted on any of the reviews.
I love mid-concert flip outs or yellings from artists (providing the audience is doing something stupid). Stevie's best has to be that one solo outing of hers, I think in '89, I don't remember the whole context of what happened or where it was but she gets all pissed and says something like "if you fu** with my people I'm going to get really fu**ing angry" or something to that effect!
As far as the big "kick" incident. That was New Zealand, 1980, according to the legend anyway. That story has so many different rumors about it that it's ridiculous. First it's a kick, then it's Lindsey mocking Stevie by walking around with his coat over his head all hunched over during Rhiannon, then it's both, and of course you can't forget Christine slapping Lindsey AND/OR throwing a glass of wine or water in his face (this part of the story I believe actually came from Chris' mouth). Who knows what really happened. We will all find out around the same time that anyone actually knows the full details of the big 1987 fall out where Lindsey left the band.

The version I know is Lindsey mocking at Stevie, then kicking her with his boots, all the band running after him (who catches him first gets the prize), Chris being the winner, she slapping him and yelling: how do you dare? how can you do this to Stevie? who are you to do this to us, to our band? stevie spent the whole night crying. when asked, Lindsey said he couldn't remember that incident, but never denied and even stated it could have happened.
it sounds to me: too much white powder.

Oh it's amazing how observant L and S are during concerts....I've posted this many a time, but, since this a new thread, I'll share my not-so-fun experience at a SYW concert in '03.
My friend, Kim and I, had 5th row, dead center, aisle seats for a concert in Los Angeles at the Staples Center. Anyway, we had these two b!tchy a$$ people behind us, and ironically, they weren't much older than us. At the time I was 19 and my friend was 23...the couple was probably late 20s, early 30s. Well, they bitched at us incessantly to sit down. The dude got SUPER pissed that Kim and I ignored his and his wife/girlfriend's pleas to sit and they finally figured out that nothing would make us sit down; we paid a TON of money for those seats through a creepy broker here in San Diego. So, the guy's frustration with us reached the boiling point and since I had the last seat on the aisle, the guy walked up to me, grabbed me by my arm (and quite hard too) and proceeded to scream at me. He tried to rip me a new one. I just stood there with my mouth hanging open. Bear in mind he did this AFTER going to security and complaining about Kim and I (we watched him walk over to a guard, point at us, and whine). The guard did nothing. He knew Kim and I weren't doing anything wrong, so he ignored them. Anyway, Stevie saw this freak grab me. She also saw me walk over to the same guard and tell him exactly what had happened. She looked horrified. She watched everything. Her eyes didn't move from us. So the guy behind us still yelled at Kim and I after I told the guard what happened, and the chicky with him started yelling at Kim telling her that her tattoos were ugly (Kim at the time had a huge butterfly on her chest and "half sleeves") and what not. Kim being a rather fiesty person, yelled right back. Finally, those two wet blankets finally left and shortly before they did so, Kim and I snuck up to the second row. Once we got closer, both she and Linds stared at us.....
What a weird, unpleasant experience....but, the most important part was, was that FM looked/sounded phenominal.

It sounds to me like a big drunken black-out to me. First he's goofy, then pissy/semi-violent, and he can't remember any of it. It happens.

And all the stories started after Mick & Stephen Davis described the incident in the 1990 book. There wasn't a single story circulating about it -- ever -- before the book was out.

Nice. If there was really as much going on as what the legend holds, you would think it would have been reported in a review of the concert at the time. Alright, I wasn't even born yet when that concert was held, and I know that instant reviews on the net of concerts weren't around like they are now, but I would think something like this being viewed by thousands of people might have generated at least a small article somewhere. Especially if, as in some versions, the entire concert came to a halt immediately following.

Also, they were a big rock group then. Huge. Even today they get press reviews at every stop. So, back then the New Zealand press should have mentioned it, even if there were no fan communities in place to spread the word. Actually though, maybe the whole jacket thing was not obvious to the audience and was assumed to be part of the act by onlookers.
As for the kick, they really can't agree on what Lindsey did. Stevie just said he did "something" to her. She didn't exactly recall what.

Isn't that also when he threw his guitar at her? LOL. This story could become the largest onstage (and offstage) brawl in the history of rock.

Something, uh? Maybe what he did was visiting her one night and giving her something like a "fright" :xoxo: are you sure it was a guitar?

going back to a serious conversation, if the new zealand stuff is true, I don't think stevie would explain what really happened on stage anyway...

I would think something like this being viewed by thousands of people might have generated at least a small article somewhere. Especially if, as in some versions, the entire concert came to a halt immediately following. In Mick's version in his book, the concert went on till the end, although the band (Mick says) skipped an encore or something.
The way Mick tells it (which I suggest everyone who's interested in this should go read), Lindsey drank a lot of booze & just acted like a drunkard onstage. Mick mentions the clowning around during RHIANNON, which is fairly early in the set, so apparently he acted like a drunkard throughout most of the concert. Mick also says that the show was being broadcast live on the radio, & that the band talked to reporters afterward & they appeared not to have noticed anything odd -- or assumed the clowning was part of the show.
This leads me to believe that if Lindsey ever threw a guitar at Stevie, it was a different show she was remembering, probably back in the Rumours days (because she calls it a Gibson).
