I finally heard this today and am really really impressed. This suits her so very well.
Does anyone know the backround on this song. Who arranged it, was it only recorded live or is there a studio version as well?
Lastly she needs to record an entire CD with standards. And she needs to let loose and not restrict her vocals like she does on most recordings.

It was recorded for the Stormy Weather benefit. I agree, I would LOVE an album of standards from her. Her voice really soars. The other day I was with a friend who asked me " So, What kind of music does this Stevie Nicks do?" So I said, well, Im gonna play you five songs. I played the dreams remix, At last, Illume, it's Late, and Has anyone ever written anything for you. They were like " hey, she does a bit of everything!" And were impressed that she could do so many:nod::D styles.

This could be another thread. What five songs would you play for someone who you wanted to impress.

It is an Etta James song, as is the song "A Sunday Kind Of Love" that Stevie also did.

I think I would go with these...
1. A rockin' Rhiannon {like from the Midnight Special}:nod:
2. Beautiful Child
3.Sisters of the Moon
4.Storms
5.Beauty and the Beast {a live version preferrably}

This was live in 1998. Her voice was in top form.
