I am going to listen to RAL today and see what song to vote for. I like this album and remember having the cassette at one time. It's sort of nostalgic for me, kind of want to vote those songs back and start over. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!!:wavey:

Well, I can tell you that ordinarily I would vote against it just because it has an outside writer. But it's the one song I make an exception for. I would vote against Blue Letter, Seven Wonders and Talk To Me immediately, because they didn't write it. With strong songwriters, I just think its sacrilege to have a song voted "favorite" that they didn't write.

However, I make an exception for SBS, because it's so evocative and special. Some people, however, may make it an early casualty, because it's not Stevie's. It may be easier to let go than one of hers.

I'm just offering an explanation as to why SBS may have been getting early votes, even though it's a great song. Normally, I would have voted a song like that off straight away without even thinking about it.

With that one exception, when it comes to LB, SN, and CM, I don't really like a song as much as if they didn't write it. It's a mental thing, but it's there. I would say that SBS is the only exception. Try for the Sun, I am Waiting, Love Minus Zero/No Limit, Blue Letter, Seven Wonders, Reconsider Me -- not to mention the dreadful Talk To Me and all of Lindsey's Rolling Stones covers. . . I just can't feel the same way about them, whether they're good songs or not.

This is a great forum and I love it! Thanks for deciding on the Stevie cds, cassettes,albums, 8 tracks, etc for this thread. I listened to all of RAL today and I can't vote for any song to be dismissed, I loved listening to all the songs and think again why I admire her, what a strange time during her life but she was really trying it seemed like. OK enough philosiphizing, whtever is voted off, I will say to myself, too bad!! Bravo Enchanted!:angel:

The fact that SBS is being voted off before the hideous Talk to Me is absolutely baffling. They're both written by outside songwriters, so that's obviously not it...

I love HAEWAFY... But I get the hate too. does that make sense? Wouldn't vote it off just yet, though...
